Research at the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics is transforming our understanding of life on Earth through DNA-based technologies... The Centre for Biodiversity Genomics is a national research facility based at the University of Guelph. It was launched in 2005 with support from the government of Canada, the province of Ontario, private foundations, and the University of Guelph. Since then, it has developed world-leading capabilities in DNA sequencing, informatics, and digital imaging, allowing it to support and coordinate the major research programs undertaken by the International Barcode of Life Consortium. Leveraging the capabilities of researchers and research organizations in 41 nations, the CBG is illuminating biodiversity at an ever-accelerating pace... We are committed to advancing society's understanding of new approaches in biodiversity science through our involvement in educational and international development programs.
