CENTRE NEONATAL TRANSPORT

We also have a nurse only team on duty every day (07:45hrs to 20:15hrs). This is an experienced neonatal transport nurse who will undertake repatriation transfers, outpatient appointments and investigations for babies deemed well enough not to need an ANNP or medic... We work out of 2 bases, one at Leicester Royal Infirmary and one at Nottingham City Hospital, although we work as a single service and teams are dispatched from either base... The CenTre team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to safely transfer premature and sick newborn babies. Our highly skilled, professional teams are dispatched for every transfer we undertake. These team comprise neonatal nurses who have additional training in the transfer of sick babies, doctors and advanced nurse practitioners. Our teams are supported by our dedicated call-handlers and ambulance drivers.
