DR. ZURAWEL - Key Persons

Dr. Charlotte Hunt

Dr. Charlotte Hunt joined the team in August 2023, and is pleased to be working with Dr. Zurawel, a long-time friend and mentor. She is a native of Rocky Mount, NC and represents the 4th generation of dentists in her family. As the youngest daughter of 2 dentists, she spent a lot of time in her parents' dental office and always admired the genuine relationships they had with their patients. She also enjoys the creativity involved in dentistry - no 2 days are just alike! Dr. Hunt attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for both her undergraduate degree and then her doctorate in dentistry. She then furthered her education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Florida. This residency program focuses on comprehensive dental treatment and advanced technology in implant dentistry.

Dr. Mark Zurawel

Dr. Mark Zurawel spent his childhood in the town of North Reading, Massachusetts. After completing his undergraduate degree at Harvard University, he moved to the sunny South to attend the School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. It was during this time that he met his future wife, North Carolina native, Martha. Dr. Zurawel started his career in dentistry with a residency at the VA hospital in Hampton, Virginia, followed by serving in the US Air Force. Following this, the Zurawels moved to Raleigh, NC in 1987 for Mark to begin work in private practice, first as an associate with a colleague before eventually striking out on his own to establish his current practice. Over the years, his kind, compassionate, straight-forward manner has won him many loyal clients. A fair portion of them recall the early days when he was just out of the Air Force. It is his commitment to educating his patients and ensuring they understand all their options that creates an enduring bond of trust. Dr. Zurawel and all his staff strive to create an atmosphere in which patients are comfortable in expressing all their questions and concerns. We seek to serve each patient as an individual, collaborating with them as part of their healthcare team. When not plying his trade in the dental office, Dr. Zurawel enjoys spending time with friends and family (including 3 grandchildren), and can often be found on one of the local golf courses or tennis courts. The Zurawels also commit time to being active in their church community.
