FILOSO CONTRACTING - Key Persons

Jordan Filoso

Jordan Filoso started work in construction before he was even in his teens. He dabbled here and there alongside his father, handing him tools, measuring, doing demolition, and of course asking many questions. Eventually, he gained enough knowledge to do jobs on his own such as building decks, fences and interior and exterior renovations for friends, neighbours and family members. After those first few jobs, Jordan developed a taste for the industry, and an aptitude for the work. As the years passed, word about his skills got out. Soon, people outside his immediate circles were calling Jordan for work on larger and more complicated projects: landscaping, exterior renovations, even highly detailed work normally left to much more experienced professionals. He got his first big break in the mid-2000s, when a friend asked him to convert a basement into a residential rental property. Jordan passed the test with flying colours and realized that his future lay in construction. He began practicing his craft full time while working alongside other contractors. At the same time, he enrolled in courses for small and medium enterprise management at Algonquin College to ensure he was just as familiar with balance sheets, profit margins and purchase orders as he was with hammers, saws and drills. He hung out the Filoso Contracting shingle shortly after completing his studies and began solidifying his own reputation for being capable, fair and honest. Today, Filoso Contracting is a general contractor in the truest sense of the term. No job in the residential or commercial sector is too large or too small, too complex or too simple. We never turn down a job, we have the resources to complete any project, and we pride ourselves on always exceeding our customers' expectations.
