ADAM MORRISSEY

Joining the construction industry from school Adam initially started out as a construction labourer on a large Lincolnshire petrochemical site. He then progressed his skills and experience gaining qualifications in several types of plant followed by CITB and SMSTS site manager qualifications. Progressing to a site supervisory role within a site team managing several contracts throughout the UK with a major construction company Adam gained invaluable site management skills over the next five years with a return to his locality joining an established construction company as a civils supervisor predominantly working on Lindsey oil refinery overseeing works ranging from £10k to £1m. Adam joined JemBuild in 2017 initially as a site supervisor becoming involved with our Associated British Ports New Lock Gates project then moving to Croda Chemicals in Hull where he formed an integral part of the site team as site supervisor. Adam's progression has continued within the company and he now undertakes an assistant site manager role and in this role has carried out a number of civil and build schemes to a high standard of safety and quality.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) joined JemBuild in 2020 as Business Development Manager.

Garry Cressey

Job Titles:

Garry joined JemBuild in 2020 as a Site Manager bringing over 33 years experience to the company having begun as an apprentice joiner in a large regional organisation upon leaving school. Progressing to chargehand joiner, site supervisor/manager he has developed vast experience on a large range of both civils and build projects including Ponds Forge Olympic swimming pool, water treatment works, Vivergo and Tricoya petrochemical projects at BP Saltend, Conoco Phillips 66, Lindsey Oil Refinery, motorway bridge construction, numerous office and school refurbishments and latterly the major Energy for Waste (EFW) schemes at Lincoln and Leeds. Garry's experience is only supported by his extensive training in several types of plant along with his CSCS Craftsman and Supervisor, SSSTS and SMSTS Site Managers Qualifications.

HANNAH CARROLL - Secretary

‘With over 20 year's experience of working in administrative and banking roles Hannah joined the JemBuild team in 2013 carrying out the role of Contracts/Company Administrator. Her role has now developed into that of Company Secretary with her effortless management of HR, Health & Safety, Suppliers and Accounts. Hannah's role is crucial to the daily operation of the company and her contribution has been key to the company's growth and success.

Harry Pask

Harry joined JemBuild in 2020 as a Site Engineer after gaining three years experience with a national contractor in the construction industry working on a variety of large industrial and commercial projects. Following completion of his A levels, he followed this with a BTEC in construction achieving distinctions in all subjects and is currently in the final stages of a HND in construction studying at Leeds college of Building which he is due to complete in June 2020. In his short time at JemBuild Harry has already become a valuable asset to the company and is a key site team member. After recently gaining his CITB SMSTS, this will only assist him as he looks to develop his skills and knowledge of the construction industry in his role as a site engineer and supervisor.

Kevin Platts

Kevin joined JemBuild in 2020 as a Senior Estimator after seven years with a large regional competitor and during his career he gained his professional qualifications along with progressing through various roles from Assistant Estimator, Estimator to Senior Estimator initially specialising in Civil Engineering tendering. Joining the construction industry at 19 he brings over 20 years' valuable experience into the company. He has naturally established himself within the company and his key role will provide an important contribution to the company's success going forward.

MARK CARROLL

Mark has over 20 years of site experience in all types of civil and building projects ranging from university/college projects, healthcare, large scale warehousing, Ministry of Defence and major refurbishment schemes. He joined the construction industry after leaving school and quickly adapted to a Site Engineering role, advancing rapidly within his employer's organisation. Mark continued his studies alongside his employment to gain professional qualifications and progressed through to a Senior Engineer, Sub-Agent, Site Agent, Project Manager then Contracts Manager. Mark joined JemBuild early 2012 after working for a major contractor. His experience, commitment and knowledge are key and he has a vital role within the company. This is clearly demonstrated throughout his work with his proactive management and strict attention to quality and detail which has resulted in several of his contracts receiving industry recognised awards for both quality and workmanship.

MARK KITCHENER

Mark joined JemBuild in 2012, following a successful 20 year career working in the construction industry. Having qualified from the University of Manchester, after studying Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying, Mark worked for several national and local contractors as a Quantity Surveyor, gaining extensive experience and knowledge across a multitude of sectors including civil engineering, retail, education and residential with contract values ranging from £100K to £25M. He has worked successfully with a number of procurement routes and forms of contract. Also, he has pre-construction experience in cost planning, value engineering & risk identification. Mark brings with him extensive knowledge to a role that is paramount to the development and long term success of the company.

SARAH SPRIGGS

Sarah joined JemBuild Ltd early 2014. Sarah has over 25 years' experience in Construction - initially starting as a Site Engineer where she also developed initial quantity surveying and estimating skills, and then progressing to Site management working for generally long periods with well-established quality local contractors managing a variety of Civils, Highways, Industrial, Commercial, new build and refurbishment projects. The last 2.5 years with a large National Contractor on working as part of the management team on heavy civils, tunneling and marine projects for the water industry with a value up to £40m. Throughout her career she has continued to develop skills in programming, estimating, commercial management and quantity surveying to give all round experience to a project from tender stage to handover.
