STUDIO GANG - Key Persons
Architect Aaron Mark (he/him) is a Senior Designer in Studio Gang's New York office. Compelled by architecture's ability to improve people's lives in fundamental ways while addressing the needs of diverse demographics, Aaron was drawn to the Studio for its equitable and creative approach to design. He is currently working on large-scale civic projects, applying his experience in design and building information modeling that he amassed during his time at BIG and LOT-EK.
Aaron holds a Master of Architecture from the Columbia University GSAPP and a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida. Having grown up in Orlando, he has called New York City home for the past decade. Outside the office he enjoys traveling and unplugging on long, leisurely bike rides.
Abraham Bendheim (he/him) is a Senior Project Leader in Studio Gang's New York office. Drawn to a range of project types, he is most interested in cultural projects that serve diverse groups of people. Abraham is a native of rural New Hampshire. His love of the outdoors and the process of making led him to pursue architecture as a means of studying and inspiring change in the world. His liberal arts background and fabrication experience enable him to conceptualize and communicate big picture ideas and realize them at an architectural scale. Abraham is a graduate of Middlebury College and Columbia GSAPP, where he also taught an advanced design studio with Jeanne Gang.
Adrienne Peñaloza (she/her) serves as Marketing Director, working primarily out of the Studio's New York office. She specializes in marketing and business development, identifying and acquiring exciting projects for the Studio and presenting the Studio's work to the greater design community and others with an interest in the built environment. Drawn to all project types and scales, from product design to master plans, she is interested in the intersection of design and development and enjoys forming new connections between architecture and other disciplines.
Formerly serving as Business Development Coordinator for BIG's New York and Copenhagen offices, Adrienne was a key member of the business development team, working across the American, Nordics, and EMEA sectors. Prior to BIG, she worked for Marble Fairbanks Architects in New York and Dezeen in London.
Adrienne studied architecture, urbanism, and design in New York, Copenhagen, and Beijing and received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with Departmental Honors from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Initially interested in the Studio for their use of technology, Alex enjoys seeing the passion behind the scenes that goes into each of the firm's designs.

Alexia Cavazos is a Designer I in Studio Gang's Chicago office. Growing up between East Chicago and Camden, New Jersey-two industrial cities that border bodies of water, just outside larger cities-she's always been interested in the mix between the urban and natural worlds. Today, through her work on the Studio's civic projects, she's excited to be exploring how architecture can help people connect with nature and with each other across boundaries.
Alexia holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Penn State University where she was President of the school's NOMAS chapter for three years and won the Kossman Design Thesis Competition. Teaching and mentoring young people in design was an important part of her life while at Penn State and she continues to pursue this in Chicago. Outside of architecture, her passions include exploring new cities, reading graphic novels, listening to podcasts, and redesigning sneakers to be the freshest on the block.
