Bridget White

Bridget joined Powell & Co in October 2012 as a receptionist. She also assists in general office administration. In her spare time, she enjoys baking with her granddaughter and following the Ireland Rugby Team.

Chris Malone

Chris Malone is the Senior member and Head of the Medical Negligence and Personal Injury Department at Powell and Co. Chris qualified as a Solicitor in 1986 having studied Law at Durham University and Leeds University. He is the founder of Powell & Co, setting up the firm in 1989. Chris has over 30 years' experience of dealing with Medical Negligence cases and complex/high value Personal Injury matters. He has a particular interest and specialism in dealing with serious brain and spinal injury claims including birth injuries, cerebral palsy, surgical and cancer cases. Chris has a wide range of accreditations, reflecting his experience and specialisms. He is one of the few Clinical Negligence Solicitors in the country who is accredited to the Specialist Clinical Negligence Lawyer's Panels of both the Law Society and Charity Action Against Medical Accidents. He is also an accredited panel member of the Spinal Injuries Association and member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Chris lives locally in Greenwich with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys the cinema, theatre, football and cycling, and is a keen supporter of Middlesbrough Football Club.

Jenny Thompson

Jenny returned to Powell & Co in May 2021, having previously worked at the firm from 2007 to 2018. Jenny began her career at Powell & Co. as an office junior, progressing to legal secretary and subsequently a Paralegal in the Family Department. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends. She also enjoys listening to music, reading books and watching crime documentaries.

Luke Anderson-Grant

Luke has been working for Powell & Co since June 2010. He began as an Office Junior and has progressed to become our Accounts Clerk.

Pardeep Gill

Pardeep joined the firm in 2020 as a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence department. Pardeep is a proud mum to a 4 year old. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, country walks, cooking and spending as much time as possible with her daughter.

Susie Ross

Susie Ross joined Powell & Co Solicitors in January 2022 as a Senior Care Proceedings Solicitor and is also Head of the Family Department and legal aid supervisor for family work. Susie is a highly focused and dedicated Solicitor with substantial experience in childcare and family law. She has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 1996 and has undertaken family work as a solicitor since 1992. Susie has provided high quality legal advice and representation to adults and children (both directly and through guardians) regarding care orders, supervision orders, emergency protection orders, secure accommodation orders, adoption, and Special Guardianship orders. Susie also has an expertise in dealing with issues related to divorce, financial relief, child arrangement orders and other child related orders and non-molestation and occupation orders. She is a confident court advocate at all levels of hearings and good communicator with an ability to explain details to clients in a way which they understand. In her spare time, Susie enjoys going to the theatre and is a member of two amateur dramatics groups for which she appears on stage in their productions. She also enjoys swimming, pilates and yoga as well as keeping fit at the gym.

Val Wood

Outside of work Val is a busy mum and enjoys keeping fit. Val is a qualified aerobics instructor and also teaches Tae Kwon Do (Val is a 4th Degree black belt). Val also enjoys reading, walking her dog and watching dramas on TV.

Vincent Kika

Vincent Kika is a member in the Medical negligence and personal injury department at Powell & Co solicitors. He obtained his Law degree in London in 2005 and completed a part-time Legal Practice Course at the College of law, London in 2008. Vincent is also an experienced Accident and Emergency Medicine Consultant. He is currently in medical practice and takes a keen and active interest in clinical governance, quality of care delivered to patients, patient safety and fairness for people affected by medical accidents. He has a combined Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. A key part of Vincent's role at Powell & Co is in the assessment of potential new cases. His ongoing experience in managing and treating patients presenting with a diverse range of conditions across the clinical specialities makes him uniquely qualified to undertake in-depth risk assessment of clinical negligence cases and determination of meritorious cases. He also has experience in clinical negligence case management.
