BROWNS JOINERY - Key Persons
Matthew Brown, Director of the company has a wealth of experience working with wood. His career started working in forestry management and from there has worked throughout the timber industry to include saw milling, machine setting and joinery.
In 1999 Matthew started his joinery business Browns Carpentry & Joinery from a workshop at his parents smallholding in rural Aymestrey, Nr Leominster. It was through purchasing timber that he met his wife and future business partner Kate.
Kate has come from a timber merchanting background, working alongside her father Robert for 11 years importing oak from Europe and selling to the UK market place.
In 2011 Matthew, Kate and Robert launched Browns as a joint venture, relocating to a new business premises in the busy town of Leominster, offering them a larger workshop area with a custom built spray booth for factory finishing and room for them to create a showroom displaying their range of products.
