Andrew Lapping - Chief Investment Officer

Andrew began his investment career at Allan Gray Ltd in 2001. He became a Fixed Interest Portfolio Manager in 2005 and Equity Portfolio Manager in 2008 before being promoted to Chief Investment Officer in 2015. Andrew left Allan Gray, which at the time managed $35bn, in 2020. Andrew joined Ranmore in 2021.

Hiren Soni

Hiren began his analyst career in 2010 following the completion of his MBA. He has a particular interest in technology stocks. Hiren holds the CFA charterholder qualification.

Hywel Bevan

Job Titles:
  • HEAD of OPERATIONS
Hywel joined RFM in 2014. He previously obtained the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers and holds a BSc in Business Administration from Cardiff University. Hywel holds the Investments Management Certificate.

Joelene Swanepoel

Joe joined RFM in 2008, having previously spent six years at Allied Irish Bank (GB) in various back office operations. She holds a BSc from the University of Cape Town and the Investment Management Certificate.

Michael Berton

Michael joined RFM in 2018, having previously worked at Neptune Investment Management and Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research. Michael is studying to complete the CFA charterholder qualification.

Sean Peche

Sean's investment career began in South Africa in 1997 when he joined Old Mutual Asset Management as an equity analyst. In 1999, he joined Decillion Capital as one of its founding members and co-managed the successful BigRock Fund, a South African-based hedge fund. In 2001, he relocated to London with Decillion Fund Management and co-managed a US/European hedge fund. In 2003, he joined London-based Orbis Investment Advisory, before leaving in 2008 to establish Ranmore Fund Management Ltd. Josphat joined Ranmore during COVID working closely with Sean as a technical analyst.
