Julian Boardman-Weston - Chairman

Julian has been a director of Manston Investments Ltd since 2009. As Chairman, his role includes facilitating change management and strategy development, and in the financial aspects of property investment. Julian is also a partner in Manston Forests LLP, a commercial forestry business. Previously, Julian has practised as a lawyer, was a member of the faculty that developed and taught an MBA programme and was a founder-member of a company specialising in management consultancy, development and training for professional service firms. He has a law degree from Cambridge University, an MSc from London Business School and a post-graduate certificate in real estate finance from The University of Reading/Henley Business School. He is a keen sailor aboard his yacht Penguin, based in the Baltic, and enjoys driving classic and vintage cars, reading military history, technology and crime.

Lynne joined Manston Investments Ltd as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director in 2002 and has progressed to Operations Director after being elected to the Board in May 2015.

Rebecca Roberts

After working for 15 years in the education system, Rebecca had a major career change in April 2015 when she joined the Manston Investments Ltd team in an accounts and administrative capacity. Rebecca also provides administrative support to the Property Department. She will be your first point of contact at Manston Investments Ltd and will direct you to the appropriate member of our team.

Simon has been a non-executive director of Manston Investments Ltd since 2009. Simon is also a partner in Manston Forests LLP, a commercial forestry business and Chairman of BRI Wealth Management plc, a private client wealth management business. Simon is a Chartered Director, Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He has extensive experience in industry having run companies in the pharmaceutical, food and leisure sectors and also acts as a trustee of several charities.

Tom Boardman-Weston - Managing Director

Tom joined Manston Investments as a non-executive director in 2017, becoming an executive director in early 2020 with a mandate to review the strategic development potential of the firm. His skills, experience and enthusiasm make him a very welcome addition to the team here. Becoming Managing Director in late 2020, his focus is on ensuring the overall stability & resilience of the firm, portfolio composition and optimising for long-term growth via select diversifications & strategic projects. Tom's background is in Strategy & M&A, advising shareholders on the sale of their private businesses; Operations, as the COO of a fin-tech start-up in London; and Finance, spending time at the Royal Bank of Scotland on a large-scale regulatory project. Tom holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Law from Durham University, has completed the Mergers & Acquisitions programme at the London Business School and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma (Distinction) in Organisational Leadership from the Saïd Business School, Oxford University. He is a Chartered Director, and holds Fellowships of both the Institute of Directors and the Royal Society of Arts. In his spare time, Tom sits has sat as a member of the Institute of Directors' Expert Advisory Group on Corporate Governance, the Advocacy Committee of the European Confederation of Directors' Associations, and of numerous charitable and not-for-profit organisations.
