Alice applies almost 10 years of experience in financial markets and data analytics to guide clients through litigation and investigations related to trading conduct in financial derivatives and commodities markets. She is an expert in the analysis of complex financial data from trade capture systems, market transaction data, and audit logs. Alice helps clients through market manipulation inquiries, regulatory enforcement, and trading investigations by regulators such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), stock exchanges, and civil plaintiffs and has presented analyses to the DOJ and CFTC. Previously, she was with NERA Economic Consulting. Alice has an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Jay Alix - CEO, CFO, COO, Founder
Sought out by corporate directors and executive management, Jay has served as CEO, COO, and CFO and has introduced, developed, and served in the roles of chief turnaround officer (CTO) and chief restructuring officer (CRO) for a variety of companies undergoing significant change. In addition, he has served as an advisor to major lenders, bondholders, trade creditors, and shareholders as well as to city and federal government agencies-and has assisted these various entities in maximizing the value and recoveries from distressed companies. Jay has led some of the largest and most complex out-of-court restructurings, turnarounds, and performance improvement programs, focusing on the speed of completion by minimizing litigation and achieving results and success through building consensus.
Jay served on a pro bono basis as a strategic advisor to various Japanese government agencies and officials as the nation of Japan developed its strategy and initiatives for corporate revitalization, restructuring, and turnarounds. He also played a key role helping the Bank of Japan (BOJ) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), as well as other branches of government and industry, establish the turnaround industry in Japan as the nation worked to revitalize its economy and restructure its corporate base after more than 10 years of national recession and deflation. Jay's use of the term "corporate sensei," which cast the idea of saving a failing company in a more favorable light, was adopted by the corporate turnaround industry in Japan and expanded the existing lexicon.
Jay's experience includes designations as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Insolvency & Reorganization Accountant (CIRA). In addition, he is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy. He has served as a court-appointed fiduciary including serving as an Operating Trustee as well as an Examiner in complex Chapter 11 cases and fraud investigations.
Jay completed the YPO/Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, and holds an MBA in Accounting from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse in New York.

Philipp guides corporations through operational restructurings and M&A-related challenges. His experience has focused especially on advising private-equity and midcap corporates with views to leveraging value creation potentials and managing complex transactions. Clients benefit from Philipp's expertise in financial planning and financing, reduction of SG&A costs through organizational redesign and head count reduction programs, and management of M&A-related processes such as due diligence, deal management, and carve-outs. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was a director in the M&A/investment management department at Sixt SE as well as an authorized officer at myDriver, where he oversaw the whole deal cycle. Philipp has a master's degree in law (LLM) in corporate finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Pilar Tarry grew up surrounded by books, thinking she'd make a career in academia. But she recently completed 19 years at AlixPartners, the latest one as a managing director here. Despite finding success quickly, Pilar Tarry's career progression was not completely linear-by design.

Simon is the chief executive officer of AlixPartners. He is based in New York and, with his team, provides transformative leadership to businesses and stakeholders, responding quickly and decisively to their most complex and critical challenges.
Long involved in philanthropic causes, Simon is the chairman of the American Friends of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as chairman of Grange Park Opera and Music Masters.
Simon became CEO of AlixPartners in 2015. In his more than 30 years of experience, Simon has combined his skills in business turnaround, strategic consulting, and stakeholder management in the development of performance improvement and accelerated transformation projects for many large and high-profile businesses. Before joining AlixPartners, Simon was CEO of Zolfo Cooper Europe from 2008 to 2015. Prior to this, he was CEO of Kroll Inc., a corporate investigations and risk consulting firm based in New York.
