John holds a BSME from Bucknell University and became a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania in 1979. He spent the first 20+ years working in machine design and manufacturing engineering, including 6 years living and working in tractor assembly and automotive parts plants in Central Mexico. John and his family returned to the US in 1995 when he joined Burnham Corporation, first as Latin American Regional Sales Manager, then National Sales Manager of Burnham's subsidiary Kewanee Boiler Co. until its closing in 2001.
In 2003, John resigned from Burnham Corp and founded Burton Mechanical, LTD. Since that time, Burton has developed two separate business streams- boiler parts sales (through OEM Boiler Parts Co and Aftermarket Boiler Parts Co.) and new boiler sales into Latin America by serving as Export Manger for several US boiler manufacturers (Johnston Boilers, Vapor Power /Precision Boilers, Bryan Boilers, and Thermal Solutions).
John enjoys most outdoor activities including farming, hunting, and basically anything in the woods. He also enjoys maintaining the 1946 Chevy ½ ton pickup which he has owned and driven regularly since 1971 (purchased for $112.50!!!)
Nick Solimeo is our fulltime Parts Specialist. His responsibilities include Sales, Customer Service, and Order Fulfilment.
Nick is an extremely experienced and competent young man in almost any hands-on field: certified welder, tree arborist, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry and carpentry - you name it. Nick also owns and operates (2) portable saw mills just for fun.
