Dr. Amie Rosarie C. Caballo

Dr. Amie Rosarie Cubeta Caballo was born in October 31, 1977 to parents Mr. Antonio Cubeta (+) and Mrs. Teodora Cubeta in Tagbilaran City. She is the 2nd of nine (9) children. She graduated from elementary and high school at Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran and earned an academic award of 1st Honorable Mention in 1994. She finished Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of San Carlos, after which she took a teaching position in the same university. After two years of teaching, she decided to become a fulltime scholar and enrolled in a masters program. She finished Master of Science in Information Management at the Ateneo Institute of Technology, Ateneo de Manila University in 2002. After serving USC, she transferred to Holy Name University to be closer to her family. Dr. Caballo holds a Doctor in Information Technology degree from the Cebu Institute of Technology University. Dr. Caballo has held several positions prior to her current assignment. She was Dean of the College of Computer Science before being appointed as Planning and Quality Assurance Officer in 2016. She was also Director for Curriculum and Instruction. In August 2022, she was appointed Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs whose main function is to look into the welfare of the Integrated Basic Education Department, while assisting the Vice President for Academic Affairs on matters at the tertiary level. Dr. Caballo is an active member of the Philippine Society of IT Educators, Inc. and is currently an ISA (Institutional Sustainability Assessment) Assessor of the Commission on Higher Education. She is also an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines.

Fr. Alphonse Lesage

Father Alphonse G. Lesage, SVD is given the credit as the Founder and First Director of Holy Name College (formerly Divine Word College and now Holy Name University) in 1947. He took the cudgels of running a school which figuratively was suffering the pains of growing and the problems of infancy. Fr. Lesage was a tireless and fearless worker. His burning missionary zeal and pioneering spirit saw him through the arduous task of establishing a Catholic college in Tagbilaran. He was known for his discipline and austere disposition. He is best remembered for his striking sense of fairness and justice, his sincere spirit of frugality-avoiding excesses and sticking only to what is basic and essential. He was born on February 17, 1905 and died on December 30, 1977.

Fr. Manuel B. Mijares

Fr. Manuel B. Mijares, SVD, also known as Fr. Manny, was born on September 9, 1979 to parents (+) Inocencio B. Mijares and (+) Adelina Brabante of Palanas, Masbate. He is the youngest of six (6) children. He attended Palanas Central Elementary School and St. Anthony of Padua Minor Seminary for his secondary education. He entered the SVD and became one of the products of the "Adopt a Seminarian" Foundation of Fr. Isabelo San Luis, SVD, a veteran writer, radio/TV personality, and Educator. He professed vows in 2005. During his regency, he worked at the SVD Philippines Southern Province under the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) where he immersed himself in the different grassroots apostolates of the SVD such as the housing for the poor, livelihood projects for slum dwellers, etc. He was ordained in 2010, a member of the Xin Ya Class. His first mission assignment was in the parish of San Miguel in Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay, as parochial vicar (20011-2014). Afterwards, he was assigned at the SVD-PHS Provincialate in Cebu as the SVD Vocation Director for Visayas and Mindanao. In 2016, he was at the University of San Carlos as one of the campus chaplains. On February 18, 2017, he was also asked by the Lord's Flock Catholic Charismatic community of Cebu for a night of praise and worship with the talk about "How to Find Favor & Good Success." In June 2017, he became a student-priest at the Divine Word Institute of Mission Studies (DWIMS) for further studies in Missiology. He attended the 6th Plenary Assembly and International Conference of the International Association of Catholic Missiologists (IACM) in Mahatai, Pataya, Thailand.

Msgr. Julio Rosales

The end of World War II brought a lot of changes to the province of Bohol. It did not only see the dawn of a new republic it also brought about the establishment of a new diocese that effectively separated the province from the ecclesiastical supervision of the Archdiocese of Cebu after more than three centuries. Tagbilaran, the biggest and capital town of the province, became the seat of the new diocese and Mons. Julio (later Cardinal) Rosales became its first bishop.
