Abigail Rayner joined the HarbourVest team in 2018 as a product specialist focused on global real assets investments and works closely with the investor relations team.
Abigail joined the Firm from Octopus Investments, a UK focused renewable energy manager. Prior to that, Abigail was with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in Toronto and London, where she invested in global infrastructure and power assets.
Abigail received an HBA (Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration) from Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario in 2008 and an MBA from the London Business School in 2014.
Abuzar Anaswala joined HarbourVest in 2016 and focuses on sourcing and evaluating secondary opportunities, including traditional and complex transactions.
Abuzar joined the Firm from SB International in Dallas where he was a director responsible for mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and portfolio management. His previous experience also includes an advisory role with Naya Ventures and seven years with Paul Capital, where he held multiple investment roles focused on secondary investment opportunities. He began his career at secondary intermediary firm Cogent Partners.
Abuzar received dual degrees with a BS in Economics with Financial Applications and a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University in 2005.
Adrian Mak joined HarbourVest in 2020 and is focused on client service and enhancing relationships with investors and consultants.
Adrian joined the Firm from Hang Seng Bank, where he was most recently a vice president and executive relationship manager of the private banking department focusing on equity, multi-asset, and fixed income products. Prior to that, he was a management trainee.
Adrian received an MSc in China & Globalisation from King's College London in 2019

Aiko Adachi joined HarbourVest in 2013 to coordinate, monitor, and enhance relationships with new and existing Japanese investors and consultants.
Aiko joined HarbourVest from Advent International in Tokyo, where she focused on investor relations as the coordinator of the Limited Partner Support team. Her prior experience includes positions at Alix Partners Asia.
Aiko received a Bachelor of English Literature degree from Sophia University in Tokyo. While pursuing her degree, she spent a semester at Royal Holloway, University of London. Aiko is a native Japanese speaker.
Alex Barker joined HarbourVest in 2010 and focuses on European buyout partnership investments.
He joined the team from Hermes GPE where he was responsible for evaluating European primary and co-investments. Prior to that, Alex spent six years at Gartmore Private Equity working on European primary and co-investments. Before joining Gartmore, Alex had previously worked in equity research at DLJ and Credit Suisse focusing on the banking sector.
He received a BA (with honors) from Oxford University in 2000.

Alex Rogers focuses on direct co-investments in growth equity, buyout, and mezzanine transactions. Alex joined HarbourVest in 1998 as an associate and rejoined the Firm in 2002 after receiving his MBA.
Alex spent over nine years in London and four years in Hong Kong expanding and managing the direct co-investment teams. He has also been actively involved in the Firm's investment risk and business development activities, including the listing of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited (HVPE). He currently serves as a board member at Preston Hollow Capital. His previous experience includes two years with McKinsey & Company.
Alex received a BA (summa cum laude) in Economics from Duke University in 1996 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2002, where he graduated with high distinction and was named a Baker Scholar. Alex speaks French.
Alex Wolf joined HarbourVest in 2008 and focuses on buyout, credit, and venture capital partnership investments across Europe and emerging markets. Alex serves on the advisory boards of several partnerships including those managed by HgCapital, Searchlight Capital Partners, Exponent Private Equity Partners, MML Capital Partners, Summa Equity Partners, Ethos Private Equity, Rockwood Private Equity, and Capitalworks Investment Partners.
He joined the Firm from Deloitte in London, where he was in the strategy consulting group working on both commercial due diligence and corporate strategy engagements.
Alex received a BA (with first class honors) from the University of Bristol in 2005.
Alexander Mackinger joined HarbourVest in 2014 and currently focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments in Europe. He began his career on the Firm's secondary team, where he focused on analyzing, structuring, and monitoring secondary private equity opportunities, including traditional and complex transactions.
Alex joined the Firm from Jefferies LLC, where he was an investment banking analyst in the Business Services and Global Industrials Groups.
Alex received a BA from Bucknell University in 2008 and a JD from Boston University School of Law in 2011. Alex is fluent in German and speaks conversational Spanish.

Alexandra Cornforth joined HarbourVest in 2020 to focus on the activities of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited (HVPE), a closed-end investment company that invests in and alongside HarbourVest-managed funds.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, Alexandra spent eleven years at Manulife Asset Management Europe Limited as the Board Director and Head of Compliance, where she was responsible for all regulatory matters and relations with regulators for the UK business. Her prior experience also includes a position with Generali Portfolio Management (UK) Limited.
Alexandra received a BA and MA from Worcester College, Oxford University.
Ali Sarfaraz began his career at HarbourVest in 2020 and is focused on direct co-investments and partnerships, primarily in the Canadian market.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ali held various co-op roles in Canada with a focus on Executive Risk and Finance.
Ali received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with high distinction) in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto in 2019.
