Dr. Karl D. Schubert

Dr. Karl D. Schubert has a proven track record driving the development of leading edge products into new and existing market areas with an extensive IT background. Dr. Schubert has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer and Senior VP of R&D for companies such as Fox Networks, Omnico Group, Grass Valley, Lifetouch, Xiotech and Dell. He has also served as a consultant to start-ups associated with Austin Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Kleiner Perkins, Sierra Ventures, and others. Karl began his career at IBM in various research, technical and management roles. Dr. Schubert is the author of The CIO Survival Guide and co-author of CIO Best Practices (1 st & 2 nd Eds.) and has been awarded U.S. and International patents for early touch screen technologies, storage systems architecture, storage area networks, and other technology areas. Dr. Schubert is a member of ACM, IEEE, SMPTE, PMI and has been elected to the Arkansas Academy of Computer Science and Computer Engineering ns the Arkansas Academy of Chemical Engineers and is a recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering.

Michael Chartier

Michael Chartier brings deep experience in developing and leading embedded software from his carrier-class networking products, digital video encoders, and avionics systems background. Michael Chartier has over 26 years of experience developing embedded software for carrier-class networking products, digital video encoders, and avionics systems. Michael has extensive experience with solution design, high availability, in-service software upgrade, C/C++, Linux and real time operating systems. Prior to joining Assess-IoT in 2016 Michael co-founded World Wide Packets where he designed and developed Ethernet products and later served as director of software engineering at Ciena where he led the development of the award winning 8700 PacketWave platform. Recently, Michael has been the lead software engineer for an IoT data logger that includes a 9 axis accelerometer, mobile data analytics, cloud data storage and visualization applications. Michael also worked for Divicom where his team won the NAB best-of-show award for the MV400 high definition video encoder. Michael holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
