Jimmy Chiam

In the highly competitive retail industry, Jimmy Chiam's wealth of experience over the past 25 years has made him a specialist in the business of strategic planning, development marketing and leasing of shopping malls. Jimmy now manages a client base across South East Asia, with a focus on Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. A graduate from Winona State University, Minnesota, Chiam started his career in 1987 working with The Lion Group on Subang Parade, a popular suburban mall developed with a creative edge in the late 80's. Following the success of this project, Jimmy was recruited to head the retail planning and leasing of the landmark Suria KLCC, which he pioneered from 1995 to 2003. Under his supervision, Suria KLCC, the retail heart of the Petronas Twin Towers development in Kuala Lumpur, flourished into a significant landmark in the retail industry in Malaysia. During his tenure with KLCC, Chiam's expertise was also sought by the Joint Venture partner, Westfield Australia, to advise on the development of their high-end luxury fashion mall in Bondi Junction in Sydney. Chiam spent over a year in Sydney on this project, establishing a strong relationship with the Australian market. Based on this core experience, Jimmy has grown an enviable portfolio with CCN CONSULTING, the firm he started in 2003 and worked on numerous high profile projects from both regional and international markets. His past international projects are Stanley Plaza, Hong Kong; Wisma Atria, Singapore; and Rodamco Plaza, Seoul, South Korea. In Malaysia, he has held major roles in The Gardens, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur and One Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
