As Director of Nursing, Alejandro Jimenez brings an abundance of supervisory and managerial experience to Compassion Behavioral Health. Alejandro is a Registered Nurse who has worked in various medical areas and focused on mental health and addiction treatment from early in his career. Alejandro is a member of the Florida Nurses Association and has a degree in Business Administration as well as Nursing. Alejandro's achievements span across the medical and mental health field and into other industries. Prior to becoming a nurse, he worked in the fashion and textiles industries, film & video production, and in the retail sector.
- Lead Behavioral Health Technician
Daniel is a lead behavioral health tech that has worked at Compassion Behavioral Health since 2018. Daniel has over eight years in recovery and is an active member in AA. Daniel has been working in treatment for the past seven years. Daniel is currently pursuing his Certified Recovery Support Specialist certification at The Academy For Addiction Professionals. Daniel has a passion for helping those with addiction and mental illness on their path to recovery. He uses his insight, empathy, and experience to help those in need. Daniel is always willing to listen and help guide in any way he can.
Danielle Collins is a compassionate and dedicated Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who has been caring for patients struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues for over 25 years. Her passion began very early in her nursing career as an LPN in the 1990's. Though she continued her education in multiple areas of nursing, she knew even back then that she wanted to specialize in psychiatric nursing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients.
Danielle received her APRN and Master of Science in Nursing degree, from Nova Southeastern University and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Certification (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she remains a highly respected and effective leader who is committed to actively breaking the stigma associated with mental health and substance abuse treatment. Danielle is a diligent patient advocate who helps patients as they embark on their journey of discovering mental wellness and the 12 steps in recovery.

- Medical Director
Dr. Erickson received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences - F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland after serving eight years in active duty as an enlisted member of the United States Navy. She then completed a combined residency and fellowship program in psychiatry, pediatrics and child and adolescent psychology. Dr. Erickson is board certified in psychiatry and board certified in pediatrics. She retired from active duty in 2011 after serving for 28 years. Dr. Erickson takes a whole body approach to care. She not only manages physical health, but as an experienced psychiatrist, she focuses on mental health as well.
Hailey is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI). Hailey acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida in 2018. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University and earned a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Hailey currently works as a RMHCI in the field of mental health that cooccurs with substance abuse. Hailey uses interventions and skills that incorporate DBT and solution focused techniques, as well as aspects of journaling to assist her clients.

Heather Brathwaite has been a Psychiatric Mental Health nurse in Florida since 1991 and is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN in 1991 from Florida International University, her MSN/APRN from FIU in 1996, and her doctorate in nursing from Barry University in 2016.
As an APRN, she has the expertise and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. She brings a humanistic philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body, and an abiding commitment to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients. Her clinical practice focuses on consultation, treatment selection and administration, and care coordination for outpatients struggling with a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
In addition to her clinical skill, Dr. Brathwaite is a full time Nursing faculty member at Miami Dade College where she served as the lead faculty for the psychiatric mental health course. She has been in academia for the last 24 years teaching at Florida International University, NOVA University, and Saint Thomas University. Heather is a member of the Barbadian Nurses Association, The National Black Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, the Florida Nurses Association, and an academic adviser for Phi Beta Kappa. Heather's love for nursing takes her to the African Continent where she distributes nursing textbooks and supplies to The University of Ghana, Accra, the University of Ghana, Cape Coast, and The Pantang Nursing College.
Meet Ivo Garcia, USMC veteran who embarked on a career in the behavioral health field in 2016. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ivo's ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations has been an invaluable asset throughout his professional journey. With an associate degree in hospitality management from Keiser University, he has developed a strong foundation in managing and providing exceptional care to individuals in need.
Since 2017, Ivo has served as a dedicated housing supervisor, where he has found his passion. Through this role, he has been able to make a positive impact in the lives of others by ensuring safe and supportive living environments for individuals seeking assistance. Ivo's commitment to his work and his genuine desire to help others have consistently driven him to excel.
With his unique blend of military discipline, and expertise in behavioral health, Ivo continues to make a significant difference in the lives of those he serves. His unwavering dedication and compassionate approach make him an invaluable asset to the field of behavioral health and a beacon of hope for those in need of support.
Clinical Director Jennifer Sanchez leads master and doctoral trained clinicians. Members of our staff are regularly sought out by their professional peers for their expertise, often for cases complicated by a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder.

Jill worked in Healthcare Advertising in New York City in 2009. Upon moving to Delray Beach, Fl Jill shifted gears entering into the behavioral health industry as a manager at a women's sober living. Jill learned and implemented the importance of structure, accountability, and compassion to individuals through their process of early recovery.
Jill took an opportunity to do Case Management at a nationally recognized Treatment program. Jill deepened her passion for helping individuals get set up for success with solid aftercare plans and building supportive relationships within the community to assist with these plans. This position helped set up Jill's Transition into Outreach and Business Development
Jill has found a calling working in Business Development and Outreach. With 5 years of Behavioral Healthcare experience and a decade of healthcare advertising, Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse approach to connecting with the community.

Logan is our outreach coordinator based out of Jacksonville, Florida covering South Georgia, Tampa, and the Jacksonville regions. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up Logan was a divine athlete, but fell to troubles in his youth. He came to Florida to seek help and now has dedicated his life to helping others in need.
Outside of his special passion to help others, Logan enjoys traveling, watching sports and fitness. He also volunteers to speak to troubled youth and others that have struggled with addiction.

Matthew Macauley is our Director of Business Development at Compassion Behavioral Health. Having worked in the field of Substance Abuse and Mental Health since 2008, he has since achieved abundant success in all aspects of the field. Matthew has extensive experience working with adults with mental health and substance abuse issues; as well as working with their families. He specializes in working with young adults, encouraging them to make successful transitions into adulthood. Matthew also has strong ties to the local community and has been a coach with Boca Little League for the past 5 years. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and English bulldog Seamus.
Matthew comes to Compassion Behavioral Health with experience as a director of operations, program director, director of compliance, therapist, case management, as well as starting off in this field as a behavioral health technician. Working in this field since 2015, Matthew has been a part of creating and implementing new programs and facilities across the country, as well as overseeing and ensuring the utmost client care. Matthew received his degree in psychology and sociology from FAU and is also a Certified Addictions Counselor.
Matthew is a well-respected, seasoned clinician, consultant, and healthcare executive. Having extensive experience at some of the nation's premier treatment centers and in private practice, Matt possesses a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and professionalism. It is his belief that emotional healing and recovery encompasses the whole person (body, mind, and spirit), which enables him to connect with people on a deeper level through warmth, compassion, and encouragement. Matt's highly individualized approach combines psychotherapeutic, motivational, and holistic techniques enabling clients to gain insight, take control of their lives, and create the positive change they seek.
Matt's passion is in dual-diagnosis treatment. Twelve years ago, Matt's world was turned upside down when his younger brother, Marc, died unexpectedly from an accidental drug overdose after battling addiction and mental health issues for over 10 years. With the support of his friends and family (especially his father, Howard, whom Matt says provided unconditional love and support through his darkest days and never let him give up the hope and potential for finding that "silver lining" ), Matt turned tragedy into triumph and dedicated his professional career to those suffering from mental illness and addiction, becoming an accomplished licensed therapist, healthcare consultant, executive, national professional speaker, and leader in the industry.
Matt is a national triple board-certified psychotherapist, licensed mental health counselor, psychologist, and dual-diagnosis professional with over fifteen years of experience. He continues to be an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Psychological Association (APA), American Psychotherapy Association (APA), National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW).

Michelle is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI). Michelle acquired a B.S. in Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University and earned a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Michelle utilizes a holistic, integrative approach, combining techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Michelle is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance abuse as well mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and behavior management.

Ryan attended college at the Ohio State University and the University at Buffalo, receiving degrees in Sociology. His background and experience in the healthcare space has led him to his role as a managing partner at Compassion Behavioral Health. Ryan demonstrates a strong ability to identify project needs, formulate strategies, maintain good practice quality assurance, and manage a team to deliver the highest standard of client care and professionalism.
Sonya is a Nurse Manager with thirty seven years of experience in healthcare, specializing in patient advocacy, addition, patient-centered care, corrections and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders. She received her Associates degree in Nursing from Charron Williams College in 2013. She brings with her a vast knowledge of treatment and supervisory experience with a strong history of leading high-performance nursing teams to deliver empathetic and compassionate care to patients. Adept at driving continuous improvements for clinical operations.
- Neurofeedback Technician
Tharlene is the neurofeedback technician at Compassion Behavioral Health. She has performed, generated and assessed an extensive amount of neurofeedback sessions. By providing neurofeedback services, she has noninvasively helped clients deal with their anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD symptoms. Tharlene has a very bubbly, and inviting personality. She takes her time to explain the process and benefits of neurofeedback. She is trustworthy, a great listener and is easy to talk to. She has a strong passion for helping others, which is one of the many reasons that she enjoys working in the healthcare field. She loves being a part of the growth and change that is seen in each client that comes into CBH! Along with her neurofeedback certification she has also obtained her degree in associates of arts, and remains in school to continue her pursuit in the healthcare field.
Thomas is our Admissions Coordinator here at Compassion Behavioral Health. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to South Florida several years ago to seek recovery and a better way of life. Having different titles in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse field over the years ,Thomas has found his niche as Admissions Coordinator. He believes the first step in the process is the most important, reassuring the client and the families that they are in great hands. Thomas is active in his local recovery community and tries to give back what was so freely given to him as much as he can.
Vaneeta is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI). Vaneeta has been working and training in the mental health and substance abuse field since 2014. Vaneeta acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University and earned a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Vaneeta is currently working as a RMHCI in the mental health and substance abuse field to effectively treat mental health symptoms as well as the disease of addiction. Vaneeta uses interventions and skills that incorporate CBT, Art, and Mindfulness aspects.
