Andrew Black is a graduate of Monash University and the University of Melbourne. Andrew was awarded the University Medal at Melbourne University in 2011. During his studies at Monash University, Andrew was awarded the Monash Law Faculty Prize for Civil Procedure and the Thomson Reuters Prize for Constitutional Law. He completed his doctorate at the University of Melbourne in 2020. Andrew has tutored in Australian Property and Land Law at the Australian Catholic University and La Trobe University. Andrew's areas of professional expertise include property and land law, commercial litigation and transactions, and trusts and equity, and termination of employment law. Andrew is a director of the Page Research Centre, a current serving member of the Ballarat Diocesan Historical Commission and has previously served as a board member of the state council of the St Vincent de Paul Society (Victoria).

Charley has worked at the firm for 13 years, starting as a junior administrator in 2009 after finishing her VCE at Loreto College, Ballarat. She has a wide range of legal knowledge after working in family law when she started, moving to conveyancing for 7 years and spending the last few years assisting with Estates, Wills and Powers of Attorney matters. Over the years Charley has also helped with the Deed Register and archiving. At present her role also encompasses offering administration support to our Practice Manager. On her days off Charley is kept busy with her three-year-old Poppy and her one-year-old twins Daisy and Theo.

Claudia Falciglia

Claudia was raised in Ballarat and has worked in the legal industry locally for over 7 years. She started work as a junior legal assistant in family law and has since graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Laws. She will shortly complete her Practical Legal Training at Leo Cussen to be admitted as a lawyer. Claudia therefore has a sound legal background and has practical experience in most areas of law. She enjoys her current work in the commercial, litigation, property and leasing fields. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys watching and attending sporting events and spending time with family and friends. Frank Frawley

2022 will mark the 40th anniversary of Frank being a Solicitor in the Ballarat & District area. Frank joined Ramsay, Gaunt & Fraser (later renamed Fraser, Nevett & Frawley) in 1987 and was a partner with Fraser, Nevett & Frawley from 1988 until 30 June 2011. Frank then became a partner in Nevett Wilkinson Frawley from 1 July 2011 until 30 June 2020. Since 1 July 2020 he has remained with Nevett Wilkinson Frawley as Special Counsel. Over the journey Frank has provided legal advice in many areas of the law, but his current areas of practice are Estates and Probate, contested Part IV Estate Applications, Wills and Powers of Attorney and Mortgage work.

After matriculating from a central Victorian boarding college in 1973, Hal was admitted to practice as a Barrister & Solicitor in 1983. Hal trained with his father Henry (senior) at Moonee-Ponds for five years before forming a partnership with John Curwen-Walker at Ballarat where he practiced until 1992. Hal commenced as a sole practitioner in Daylesford and Castlemaine in 1993 and continues in practice in both towns until the present day.

Samantha joined the NWF team whilst in her final year of studying a Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University.
