I bring five years of previous dealership experience as a CFO of a 600 employee and 8 rooftops group. I have served fortune 500 companies in various facets of tax and accounting. Currently, I am an active CPA in the State of Michigan, and I was curious about the retail automotive industry and have loved every moment of it since I made the change. I recently moved here from Michigan, born and raised, to join DCD in Massachusetts. My wife of 5 years, previously a State of Michigan Pharmacist, and our two children have accompanied me on the journey and we look forward to raising our children as New Englanders. My leisure time is spent primarily with our children and providing a fun and active life, but prior to having children, my hobbies were marathon running, woodworking, and cars/motorcycles.

Chris Dagesse - President

Job Titles:
  • Owner
  • President
My career in the automotive industry began working as a lot attendant for my father's dealership in NH. The dealership was like a second home for me, I would watch my father and I had gained a fundamental understanding of and appreciation for the nuts and bolts of owning and operating a successful car dealership. After some time and when I gained enough experience, I grew into a variety of different dealership positions across all departments including car sales, management, service, parts, collision, and eventually learned and worked my way to become the part-owner and General Manager at Lewes Auto Mall Chevrolet Buick GMC, and then at Nucar Chevrolet Mazda. Ten years later, we had acquired the Boch-branded stores, and I had transitioned to owner and President for the DCD Automotive brand.

Emily Gaudet

Job Titles:
  • Corporate Trainer
I was born and raised in Concord, N.H. One might say I was born into the automotive industry, spending the majority of my childhood working at my father's 5 dealership locations throughout N.H. After graduating from Northeastern University, cum laude, with a B.A. in English Literature, I made the move back to N.H. to continue working with my family. Some of the best memories I have are those of working beside both my father and grandfather. While I've held many roles in the dealership over the years, the finance department was where I truly grew as an individual. I was fortunate enough to continue my career in the industry, joining the DCD family in June of 2022. I am beyond grateful to be a part of a company that not only fosters my growth as an individual but cultivates a "family" workplace environment, much like the one I grew up in.

Jared Smith

Job Titles:
  • Marketing & E - Commerce Director
I was born and raised in Richmond, Rhode Island, a rural quiet town where I have lived my entire life. I attended Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, RI, and went on to graduate from the University of Rhode Island in 2006. My last year of college was my first introduction to the car business as a marketing intern for Tarbox Toyota, Tarbox Hyundai, and Tarbox Big Lot. After the internship, I was hired by Tarbox and began to take on many new roles that had never existed at the dealership, including vehicle photography, website management, and internet sales management. Throughout my professional career, the car business has changed, leading to more opportunities for my skill set to grow and accommodate the needs of a dealership. In October of 2021 DCD Automotive Holdings acquired Tarbox Toyota and Tarbox Hyundai and I was introduced to the DCD team. I have been married for 12 years to my wife, Emily. We have two young boys who I spend all of my free time with, coaching baseball, basketball, and soccer. When I am not on the run with my kids, I like to spend time around my home fixing and remodeling as much as I can, using the knowledge I gained working in construction while I was attending college. I like to follow all Boston-related sports; Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. I am most passionate about helping people, being friendly and kind to others, and making people laugh. The automotive business is a place where I feel the freedom to express these passions to make a positive difference in people's lives.

John Driscoll

Job Titles:
  • Facilites Director
My interest in property management began from a young age. I was born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts and I was surrounded by a family that made a living in Commercial and Residential Real Estate. In 2009 I graduated from the University of Massachusetts where I was fortunate to meet my wife in our sophomore year and we have been together ever since.

John Jackson - CIO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Information Officer
I was born in Hooksett, NH, and moved to Gorham, NH at a young age. Living in northern New Hampshire, you can imagine the feeling of a small town in the mountains, with not much going on. At a young age though, I always found joy in technology and my father helped nurture that seeing that I had a knack for it. I learned the mountains were not the place for me long-term, and after finishing high school I drove across the country to Las Vegas for a change of scenery, and to learn more about what I wanted out of life. After a few years working in the Wireless Industry as it was gaining traction, I received a call from a childhood friend, Chris Dagesse, asking if I'd be interested in a new adventure in the automotive industry alongside him in Southern Florida. I proceeded to dip my toes into automotive sales, website management, and continued to steer toward the technology aspect of the business. As the company shifted and grew, we moved to Delaware in 2008 to start the new adventure of DCD Automotive Holdings. Upon the growth and move to Massachusetts territory, I advanced to the senior role of Chief Information Officer and now oversee all aspects of I.T for Delaware, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire Locations; and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and this company.

Karen Fisher

Job Titles:
  • Corporate Training Director
The automotive industry has played an important role in my life. I began working in the finance department for my father's dealership while attending college. I continued my career part-time on the weekends while raising my three sons. When my boys went off to college, I worked more and became the Finance Director. The foundation and life lessons I gained from the industry have guided me in many ways. Working for my family set the premise for my core values of loyalty and hard work, which I hold dear to this day. My husband, lifelong friends, professional accomplishments, and countless experiences all stem from the auto industry which I am truly grateful for. For more than twenty years, I worked for two prominent dealer groups in the Boston area after my father's untimely passing in 2000'. I pride myself on transparency, integrity, and being ranked in the top tier of a competitive environment. Being featured in F&I Magazine was an accomplishment that also helped me develop valuable marketing skills and sales tools that provide a seamless approach for the customer experience. In my role as Corporate Training Director for DCD Automotive, I embrace all of the lessons I have learned from my successful finance career into helping others achieve their own goals. As an AFIP Certified professional, my passion for compliance and conducting business correctly drives the training curriculum for our teammates. I am most proud of implementing processes that provide legalities along with profit, equally. My personal time always involves family. I can be found hiking with my dogs Jules and Luna, mountain biking, or boating with my husband and sons at Lake Winnipesaukee.

Serena Madar - Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Legal Officer

Job Titles:
  • Chief Compliance Officer
  • General Counsel
I graduated from Brandeis University, cum laude, with a B.A. in English and American Literature, where I was a starting infielder on the varsity women's softball team. I worked for a few years before attending law school at New England Law Boston where I graduated magna cum laude, was a New England Scholar, a member of the Law Review, and the recipient of the West Group Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. I have spent the last 20 years advising, counseling, litigating, and trying cases on behalf of small, mid-sized, and fortune 100 and 500 companies, first at a national law firm, working primarily with the franchise team in the complex commercial litigation group, where I was first exposed to the workings of the automobile industry, and then at a boutique litigation firm and as a sole practitioner, where I first started working with DCD dealerships. Part of my practice has also included representing low-income tenants, pro bono, in eviction cases across Massachusetts, a passion I have had since law school. I was born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts. I spent a few years living on the west coast and abroad, but I have been a proud Bostonian for the last 25 years where I currently live with my husband and two active teenage boys. In my free time, I enjoy watching my boys play soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, hiking with my dog, and traveling with my family. I am thrilled to be part of the dynamic and growing DCD family.

Shawn Hanlon

Job Titles:
  • President - NH & VT Locations
I began working in the automotive industry when I was just 17 at a local Toyota dealership as a recon technician detailing vehicles. After working my way through various positions I became the General Manager at the Berlin City Automotive Group in Gorham, NH at the age of 23 and remained there for 14 years. During this time I worked closely with owner Dan Dagesse learning variable and fixed operations, inventory management, marketing, cash flow, budgeting/forecasting, as well as the importance of maintaining high customer and employee satisfaction.

Tim McGilvray - COO, VP

Job Titles:
  • Chief Operations Officer
  • Vice President
I was born and raised in Boston most of my childhood, and as a teenager, I moved to Framingham, MA, and attended Framingham South High. Once I graduated, I then attended Northeastern University in Boston. I started selling cars in 1991 in Dedham, Ma as a co-op job, and I never left the industry. I was fortunate enough to meet my wife while studying at Northeastern, and she's been stuck with me ever since. We have two great sons who have occupied a lot of our free time, but we're lucky that they enjoy a lot of our favorite hobbies. As a family, we love all things ending in "ing'', that includes boating, fishing, skiing, etc. We're pretty active and are fortunate we get to do so many things together. I was grateful that I had the opportunity to meet Dan and Chris Dagesse in February of 2010 and become a General Manager of their Toyota store in Norwood, MA. I held that position for about 5 years until I was given the opportunity to help with the new acquisitions that the company acquired, and later given the opportunity to become Vice President and COO of DCD Automotive.

Tracey McDonald-Sands

Job Titles:
  • Chief Administrative Officer
I began my career in the automotive industry in 2017. Since then I have come to absolutely love this fast-paced environment and the family that I work with each day. I could have never imagined all of the intricacies of this industry. I have already gained a vast amount of knowledge in the automotive industry and look forward to continuing to learn more each day. I graduated with my B.S. in Business Management, with an emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Baltimore. I came to DCD with over 20 years in the retail world, working for a nationwide retailer with over 10,000 employees in 48 states. I eventually decided to leave the retail environment and worked for a great non-profit organization that specialized in offering mental health services. That was truly a rewarding experience that helped me grow and understand the importance of mental health. I learned not only how it impacts so many on a daily basis, but what I can do to help. I pride myself on learning as many facets of the organization as possible, which ultimately helps me understand how to better champion both the company and staff to work towards the same goal. I have extensive experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Training, Payroll, Risk Management, Customer Service, and Compliance. In my quest for continued growth, I am honored to be able to utilize both my past experiences and the opportunities DCD has provided to me by taking on additional responsibilities. Working with Dan and Chris and seeing first hand how they value staff is truly a great feeling, especially for someone in the business of supporting others. I was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Maryland I was lucky enough to encounter the best of both worlds growing up with Maryland crabs and Pennsylvania Dutch whoopie pies. In order to be with my best friend, now husband, I moved up to Massachusetts in 2017. I enjoy spending any downtime with my two daughters, stepsons, and husband. I love to cook, bake, and make people smile.
