Clare Liang

Clare is a Registered Trade Marks Attorney (Australia and UK Qualified) Clare has worked in private practice as a trade marks professional for over 6 years. She is an Australian Trade Mark Attorney and a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. Clare's experience is in non-contentious and contentious brand protection matters relating to trade marks, copyright, and designs, with particular expertise in the strategic filing, prosecution and enforcement of trade marks both locally and overseas. Her previous experience includes working for a boutique IP firm in Hong Kong, and at one of the largest patent and trade mark firms in the UK. She also spent a year in Tokyo as an exchange student and speaks conversational Japanese. Clare has completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Japanese as well as postgraduate qualifications in Trade Marks Law and Practice.

Jocelyn Wu

Jocelyn is an experienced IP Paralegal with over 5 years experience in private practice Jocelyn has extensive experience in Australian specialist IP firms as well as in national full service law firms as a Paralegal and IP administrator capacities. Her roles at Gestalt include providing patent and trade marks support, such as the preparation and filing of applications and official correspondence with IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO as well as liaising with International Associates in respect of incoming Australian and New Zealand applications and foreign applications. Jocelyn is responsible for supervising and maintaining Gestalt's docketing system and to ensure accurate and timely management of patent, trade mark and registered design maintenance and renewals functions. In addition, Jocelyn also assists with the conduct of searches in relation to trade marks and patents and litigation support. Kelly achieved First Class Honours for her research on protein nanostructure assembly. Kelly is well-versed in diverse aspects of biotechnology and has particular expertise in molecular biology, bioengineering and synthetic biology. As a member of the patents practice group of Gestalt Law, Kelly assists with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution in relation to Australian, New Zealand and international patent matters. She has a key role managing Gestalt Law's operations which support our Patent and Trade Marks attorneys and paralegals to provide efficient and accurate patent and trade mark prosecution services to clients.
