Clare is a Registered Trade Marks Attorney (Australia and UK Qualified)
Clare has worked in private practice as a trade marks professional for over 6 years. She is an Australian Trade Mark Attorney and a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.
Clare's experience is in non-contentious and contentious brand protection matters relating to trade marks, copyright, and designs, with particular expertise in the strategic filing, prosecution and enforcement of trade marks both locally and overseas.
Her previous experience includes working for a boutique IP firm in Hong Kong, and at one of the largest patent and trade mark firms in the UK. She also spent a year in Tokyo as an exchange student and speaks conversational Japanese.
Clare has completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Japanese as well as postgraduate qualifications in Trade Marks Law and Practice.
Daniel McKinley is an Australian Patent Attorney with expertise in medical technology and life sciences.
Daniel McKinley is an Australian Patent Attorney, Trade Marks Attorney and Lawyer. His expertise as a Patent Attorney spans life sciences, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Daniel assists clients with obtaining patent protection for a variety of medical and life sciences technologies including in the areas of molecular biology, cell and gene therapy, personalised medicine, therapeutics, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, formulation technology and medical devices.
He also has knowledge of other scientific disciplines including engineering and software, particularly in medical related technologies such as bioinformatics, orthopaedic devices, drug development, patient monitoring and management. Daniel's understanding and knowledge in relation to digital technology and data processing has been invaluable to his clients.
A substantial part of Daniel's practice involves drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in Australia, New Zealand and overseas. Jocelyn is an experienced IP Paralegal with over 5 years experience in private practice
Jocelyn has extensive experience in Australian specialist IP firms as well as in national full service law firms as a Paralegal and IP administrator capacities.
Her roles at Gestalt include providing patent and trade marks support, such as the preparation and filing of applications and official correspondence with IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO as well as liaising with International Associates in respect of incoming Australian and New Zealand applications and foreign applications.
Jocelyn is responsible for supervising and maintaining Gestalt's docketing system and to ensure accurate and timely management of patent, trade mark and registered design maintenance and renewals functions.
In addition, Jocelyn also assists with the conduct of searches in relation to trade marks and patents and litigation support.
Jocelyn is a motivated and savvy IP specialist and has quickly become a key member of the Gestalt team and has the important responsibility of ensuring that Gestalt's teams of IP professionals are able to efficiently and accurately service the IP needs of Gestalt's clients.

Kelly is a Patent Scientist specialising in life sciences and biotechnology
Kelly has completed a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) at the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of New South Wales. Kelly achieved First Class Honours for her research on protein nanostructure assembly.
Kelly is well-versed in diverse aspects of biotechnology and has particular expertise in molecular biology, bioengineering and synthetic biology.
As a member of the patents practice group of Gestalt Law, Kelly assists with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution in relation to Australian, New Zealand and international patent matters.
Kelly is currently undertaking a Masters in Intellectual Property at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Lance Scott is both a lawyer and registered TradeMarks attorney specialising in the protection and management of trade marks and brands.
Lance has worked in industry and private practice in Australia, New Zealand and London and has over 25 years experience as a lawyer. He has experience in all aspects of IP, including contentious work and commercialisation. Lance is also a Public Notary.
Lance has chaired a subcommittee (Asia-Pacific, Latin America & Africa) of the International TradeMarks association (INTA) Dilution & Well Known Marks Committee. He has served on both the New South Wales and Victorian Committees of the Licensing Executives Society, Australia and New Zealand (LES ANZ). Lance has been responsible for protecting some of the world's biggest and well known brands.

Michelle is a highly capable Intellectual Property Administration Executive and manages Gestalt Law's electronic docketing, database and records management.
Michelle has extensive experience in business and administration and working in-house within corporate teams.
Michelle has a Degree in Science from the University of Sydney majoring in Pharmacology and an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Sydney and a masters in Psychology from the University of New South Wales.
She has a key role managing Gestalt Law's operations which support our Patent and Trade Marks attorneys and paralegals to provide efficient and accurate patent and trade mark prosecution services to clients. She is also responsible for the management of patent, trade mark and registered design maintenance and renewals functions.
