Adam Phillips

Many of our customers will have spoken to our Account Manager, Adam Phillips. Adam has been working at the Assay Office for 21 years.

Charlotte Turner

Job Titles:
  • Marketing Manager
Charlotte joined the Assay Office in 2015. She loves the trade, and has studied for a City & Guilds level 2 certificate in jewellery design and craft. Photographed here during the Lord Mayor's Show on a wet November day, she is always up for a challenge!

Dr Robert Organ

Job Titles:
  • Senior Hallmarking Consultant
Robert joined the Assay Office London in 2000 as Superintendent Assayer and took over as Deputy Warden (Managing Director) in 2006. A professional member of the Institute of Metal Finishing and a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, Robert is also Chairman and Secretary to the International Association of Assay Offices (IAAO) and Chairman of the British Standards Institute STI 53 Committee for Specifications and Test Methods for Jewellery and Horology. Robert was made a Liveryman of the Goldsmiths' Company in Autumn 2015, an honour bestowed on him in recognition of the contribution he has made to the Company over the past 15 years. In October 2021 he retired as Deputy Warden and became Senior Hallmarking Consultant to the Assay Office.

Jagdeep Panesar

Kheni Priest

Job Titles:
  • Production Control Manager
Kheni has worked for us since 2007. She began as a temporary staff member, moving on to a role as Hallmarking Technician, before being promoted to Supervisor at Greville Street in 2019 which she described as "a career highlight". She was promoted to Production Control Manager in 2022. General Manager Will Evans said "Kheni has a great connection to the trade in Hatton Garden, and a real energy and passion for it. This, along with her ambition and expertise is unmatched. Congratulations to her on this promotion."

Lesley Price

Job Titles:
  • Laser Technician
Lesley has worked at Greville Street since 2009 mainly laser marking. But in the busy office she frequently gets involved in all departments.

Maxine Thompson

Job Titles:
  • Assay Office Technician
Maxine started working for the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office in 2014. Her main roles at Greville Street are working in Customer Packet Control and on the counter.

Pat Geary

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Engineering Team
  • Workshop Manager
Engineer Simon Jones. Simon started working for us in 2000 undertaking an apprenticeship within the workshop under Pat. first started working for the Goldsmiths' Company on 3rd July 1978. Pat came to the Assay Office straight from school at the age of sixteen, and has so far dedicated an amazing 40 years to the workshop.

Sam Bowles

Job Titles:
  • Supervisor
Sam was Assay Office apprentice 2014 - 2018. He is now a Supervisor overseeing the team which deals with packets containing 20 items or fewer.

Sheila Priest

Job Titles:
  • Supervisor Smalls Team
Sheila Priest (pictured) started work at the Company in 2001. She is Supervisor of the Laser Department at Goldsmiths' Hall having spent fifteen years gaining her expertise. She loves problem solving and a complex laser engraving!

Simon Jones

Terry Dack

Job Titles:
  • Supervisor
  • Supervisor Handmarking
Terry Dack (Supervisor, Handmarking) started working for the Assay Office in 1977 starting in gold sampling. He moved to work on in the Foreign department (handling all imports) in the 1980s, onto second hand sampling, then developed his specialism in handmarking in the early 90s.
