Canavan Enterprises was established in 1997 by Noel Canavan; Noel is a qualified chef who served his apprenticeship in restaurant Mirabeau, The Old Russell hotel on Steven's Green and other top restaurants around Ireland. Noel was also Pastry Chef in Ashford Castle at the time they won their first Michelin Star before moving to France to the Michelin Star Restaurant 'Au Berge de la Cornieche'. Upon his return to Ireland he went into executive catering, his regular clientele consisted of the Fianna Fail cabinet of the time, headed by Jack Lynch and the Irish Flour Association... Through his children and other experiences with companies supplying school lunches; he began to look into schools foods and realised to amount of processed food used was and thought to himself, why not give children good quality fresh food.
