Established in 1993, CCPPP is a national, non-partisan not-for-profit with members from both government & the private sector. Virtually all major players involved in public infrastructure in Canada are members of the Council. Together, we work to shape the future of our country's infrastructure and services by delivering value to Canadians through public-private partnerships (P3s)... In February 2022, CCPPP was made aware of proposed federal tax legislation related to Excessive Interest and Financing Expenses Limitation (EIFEL). The Council is working hard with its members to ensure the legislation, once tabled, protects the country's P3 projects - both current and future - and does not place Canada at a competitive disadvantage to our neighbours to the south when it comes to procurement, labour and innovation... CCPPP proposes a set of forward-looking recommendations, including 1) evolving procurement approaches to ensure early private sector engagement, 2) supporting municipalities..
