TEXAS PNEUMATIC TOOLS - Key Persons

Carl Evans - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founder
Carl Evans is the founder of Texas Pneumatic Tools, Inc. He started the business in his garage in Seabrook, Texas in 1977. In the beginning, he bought and resold replacement parts for pneumatic tools. In the late 70s, he bought a Sears drill press and slowly started manufacturing parts. One machine led to another, and by late 1980, he had introduced the company's first tool to the market. It was the TX1B scaler. In 1984, he purchased a 100-year old building and some land in his hometown of Reagan, Texas. More tools and parts were being manufactured and added to the line so in 1989 a larger facility was needed. The first production building was erected on the campus. In 1996, a second production facility was built and the administrative staff from the garage in Seabrook relocated to the campus facility in Reagan. Kay Evans - She was involved with all aspects of the company. Although no longer with us, her contributions to the company are continually being felt.
