PERSIMMON LANE STUDIOS

The idea of Persimmon Lane Studios (PLS) was formed in 2008 when Joseph Goldsmith and Jonathan Beattie began hobbying in music composition during their undergrad degree at Frostburg State University. After hours of classical theory, ear training, and rehearsal each day they looked forward to the frequent blizzards that would cancel a class so they could jam and record in their college houses. They may have been caught a time or two using the recital hall in the performing arts center to capture live recordings instead of supervising it; but the department chair secretly loved it of course.
