Carolina Cegarra joined the Giant Development Inc team in September 2021, assuming the role of HR Manager. In her capacity, she oversees various administrative functions related to time attendance, benefits, and the onboarding process. With 19 years of experience in business administration, Carolina brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She holds certificates in Business Administration and Customer Service from Wake Technical Community College. Additionally, Carolina is a proud member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Originally from Venezuela, Carolina has called the Raleigh area home since 2014. She is a devoted wife and mother of two daughters, as well as a beloved dog named Obi. Outside of work, Carolina cherishes spending quality time with her family.

Donnie Wrenn

Donnie Wrenn has served as our Senior Estimator since May 2017, bringing over 40 years of valuable experience to his role. He is responsible for ensuring precise project estimates, managing AGTEK, and overseeing subcontracting. With a career spanning more than four decades, Donnie's extensive knowledge plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Possessing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, he seamlessly combines academic excellence with practical expertise. A resident of Raleigh for over 60 years, Donnie's deep local connections enrich his understanding of community dynamics. His dedication and proficiency make him a key asset, contributing significantly to the success of our projects.

Elaine Noulis - CFO

Elaine Noulis, our esteemed Chief Financial Officer, has been an integral part of our team since October 2012. Beginning as a part-time employee, she swiftly rose to the position of CFO in 2018, leveraging over 35 years of finance experience to drive our success. With deep roots in Raleigh spanning over 50 years, Elaine holds a profound connection to the local community. Her financial acumen is rooted in a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Western Carolina University. Elaine's professional credentials include accreditation as a tax preparer and membership in the National Society of Accountants, ensuring she remains abreast of industry standards and regulations. Beyond her professional achievements, Elaine finds fulfillment in her role as a dedicated mother to two successful sons and a loving grandmother to two grandchildren, a grandson, and a granddaughter, all residing in Raleigh. As CFO, Elaine's extensive experience and local ties play a pivotal role in driving both our organizational success and the well-being of the community. Her leadership and dedication continue to be invaluable assets to our team.

Jack Hutson

Jack Hutson joined our team as a Project Engineer in May 2023, bringing his expertise and dedication to our projects. His primary responsibilities include tracking schedule progression and ensuring schedules remain up-to-date. While Jack is new to Land Development, he brings six years of experience in residential home construction to his role. A lifelong resident of the Raleigh area, Jack's familiarity with the local landscape adds value to his work. He holds a degree in Business Management from East Carolina University, providing him with a solid foundation for his professional endeavors. Outside of work, Jack's adventurous spirit shines through his hobbies. He is a passionate skydiver and is certified in scuba diving.

Jody Penny

Jody Penny joined Giant Development's team as Trucking Manager in November 2019, taking charge of various crucial responsibilities. He oversees the management of company drivers, handles the day-to-day logistics of company dump truck drivers, coordinates with outside trucking companies, and tracks the productivity of dump trucks. With 20 years of experience in operations and logistics management, Jody brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He was born in Raleigh, NC, and raised in Angier, NC, just 20 miles south of Raleigh. Jody is an alumnus of NC State University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. Outside of work, Jody leads an active lifestyle, enjoying activities like weightlifting and spending time at the beach. He's a passionate supporter of both The Steelers and Wolfpack teams, and he's also known to rock out to 80s hair metal. Most importantly, Jody cherishes spending time with his wife, Johni, and their three children.

Juan Aguilar

Juan Aguilar has been our Erosion Control and Paving Superintendent since June 2013. In this role, he oversees all aspects of our erosion control, paving, and asphalt services. Living in the Raleigh area since 2008, Juan has become an integral part of the local community. Outside of work, he finds joy in spending quality time with his family.

Keith Olive

Keith Olive assumed the role of Utility Manager within our team's Utilities division in November 2021. With over two decades of experience in utilities, dating back to 2001, Keith brings a wealth of expertise to his position. In his capacity as Utility Manager, Keith ensures seamless coordination with utility crews, providing them with the necessary resources on-site to safely and efficiently complete projects within specified timelines. A resident of the Raleigh area since 1981, Keith has deep roots in the local community. Holding a Public Utilities License, he possesses the qualifications necessary to excel in his role. Keith is happily married to his wife, Amanda, and outside of work, he indulges in his passion for BBQ competitions.

Kevin Dougherty

Kevin Dougherty joined Giant Development Inc. in May 2022, assuming the role of Accounts Receivable Manager. In this capacity, he is responsible for billing customers, ensuring that receivables align with completed work and contracted prices, and allocating funds to pay company bills. Originally from Cary, NC, Kevin graduated from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, with a BA in Accounting. Following college, he served in the Air Force from 2016 onwards before recently returning to the Raleigh area. During his time at Belmont Abbey College, Kevin was an active member of the soccer team from 2012 to 2016. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hitting the gym, and spending time at the beach.

Larry Asher

Larry Asher has been our Purchasing Manager since September 2016, bringing over 40 years of experience in fleet management to our team. He holds a degree in Management with a minor in Marketing from C.W. Post University. His wealth of experience and educational background contribute significantly to our purchasing success at Giant Development Inc. Outside of work, Larry is a dedicated supporter of his daughter's soccer journey and enjoys watching various sports in his free time. Lawrence Wardrick

Tweety's dedication, experience, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring the successful execution of our projects with precision and efficiency.

Martin Martinez

Martin Martinez has been a vital part of our team since January 2019, serving as our Social Media & Communications Manager / Certified (Part 107) Drone Operator / Certified (OSHA 30) Safety Communications Coordinator. With 23 years of experience in photo-journalism, Martin brings a wealth of expertise to our projects. His role involves capturing photo and video documentation of job sites before, during, and after projects, creating a comprehensive photographic record of each project's progress for use on our website and social media platforms. Martin holds a BA in Art of Communication from a college in Venezuela and a Master's in Spanish Language Education from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL. His educational background seamlessly complements his creative talents. Certified as a Part 107 Drone operator since October 2019, Martin is also OSHA 30 hours certified as of August 2022. He is responsible for the operation of our drones, utilized for Video Productions, Aerial Photography, progress recording, and site mapping. Additionally, Martin conducts "Tool Box talks" for field groups and produces our internal monthly Newsletter. Residing in Raleigh, NC since 2014, Martin treasures family time when he's not immersed in construction projects. His journalistic prowess has earned him awards, particularly in the fields of environment and tourism.

Michael Petrizzo

Michael Petrizzo, our Erosion Control Specialist since December 2023, is dedicated to ensuring environmental compliance and sustainable land management. Michael meticulously checks sites for erosion compliance, communicating effectively with management and implementing prevention measures. With experience in the field since 2022, Michael demonstrates a passion for environmental stewardship and expertise in erosion control. A Cum Laude graduate from UNC Wilmington, Michael holds a degree in Environmental Science with a Minor in Business and has lived in Raleigh since December 2023.Michael has a passion for surfing and can be found at Wrightsville Beach during hurricane swells.

Sam Lanier - CIO

Sam graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), focusing on Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He recently completed a Master's in Business Administration in May of 2021. Originally from Orlando, FL, Sam has been residing in Greenville, NC for the past five years while pursuing his education at East Carolina University. During his time at ECU, he also contributed to the baseball team from 2015 to 2019. With a solid educational background and practical experience, Sam brings invaluable expertise to Giant Development Inc. His leadership in information management ensures the efficient operation of our administrative functions, contributing to the overall success of our company.
