Andrew Golding

Job Titles:
  • Industry Advisor
Andrew has over 30 years banking experience, largely in the UK and continental Europe. His focus has been on arranging, structuring, distribution and management of leveraged loans. Before joining Volpi, Andrew held roles in a number of banks including Head of Leveraged Loans at Barclays Capital and Head of European Financial Sponsor Coverage at Bank of America. In 2005 Andrew became 3i Group's first banking partner and later set up and built 3i debt management. Andrew holds a number of Non-Executive Directorships including Alcentra Limited and Bira Bank. Andrew has an MA (Oxon) in Modern History from Magdalen College, Oxford.

Barbara Maluska

Barbara has over 10 years of Private Equity experience, working in finance roles covering both corporate and fund accounting. She worked at Nova Capital Management for over 4 years where she was a Financial Controller. Subsequently she worked for Ipes (UK) Limited as Senior Fund Accountant with direct responsibility for a number of Private Equity clients. Most recently she was Head of Finance for InfraCo Africa, part of The Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) that mobilises private sector investment to assist developing countries in providing infrastructure vital to boosting their economic growth and combating poverty. Barbara is a CIMA qualified accountant and was born and raised in Poland.

Charlotte Smith

Charlotte has over 7 years experience working as a PA within finance. She now supports Marco and Crevan as well as assisting with the Volpi finance function. Prior to Volpi, Charlotte worked at Stella EOC Investment Bank where she supported 4 partners. Charlotte attended Kings College London, Quest secretarial college and is fully AAT qualified.

Crevan O'Grady

Crevan has over 20 years' investing experience in the UK, continental Europe and the USA. Before founding Volpi Capital, Crevan was a partner at 3i and head of TMT, where he focused on investing in service businesses with international ambitions. Crevan currently serves on the Boards of Medinet (UK), Version 1 (IE), Digital Barriers (US & Asia), Cyclomedia (NL), CLEVR (NL & DE) & Adacta (SL) He has a degree in Business and Accounting from Dundee University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Crevan was born and raised in Ireland.

Denitsa Teneva

Denitsa has over 7 years of Private Equity experience, working in finance roles covering both corporate and fund accounting. Most recently she was Finance Manager at DN Capital, a global early-stage venture firm, focusing on Seed and Series A opportunities in Europe and North America. Prior to this, she worked for Ipes (UK) Limited as Senior Fund Accountant with direct responsibility for several Private Equity clients. Denitsa holds a first-class undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Brunel University. Denitsa is an ACCA qualified accountant and was born and raised in Bulgaria. She is fluent in both English and Bulgarian.

Emer Fogarty

Emer has significant experience working as a Performance Psychologist driving high-performance in multiple businesses, primarily in the Tech industry. Emer is joining Volpi as an advisor to support optimum performance across the Volpi team and the Volpi portfolio. Prior to Volpi, Emer worked in Version 1 (a realized portfolio investment of Volpi) as a high-performance coach supporting organizational growth, performance and leadership development. Emer has a degree in Psychology from NUI Galway and also received an Executive Coaching Diploma from the Irish Management Institute.

Emma Bloom

Emma has over 5 years extensive experience as an Executive Assistant within Finance and has joined the team to support Marco and Crevan. She has previously worked at Stirling Square Capital Partners where she supported a team of 8, including Partners. Emma has also worked at JP Morgan and TPG Angelo Gordon. Emma has a degree in Events Management from the University of Greenwich and has previous experience in this field.

Erik Berggren

Erik has over eight years of private equity, investment banking, and consulting experience in the UK and Europe. Before joining Volpi, he did TMT M&A at Arma Partners in London, working exclusively with technology companies and with a particular focus on the Nordic, German, and UK markets. Prior to this, he worked at Deloitte in London, advising private equity firms and portfolio companies. Erik holds a first-class undergraduate degree from King's College, London. He was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden.

Estelle Sheanon

Estelle has over 10 years of Investor Relations experience in the Investment Management industry. Prior to joining Volpi, Estelle worked in the European Credit team at Ares Management in London where she focused on fundraising and client servicing for the European Direct Lending and Liquid Credit strategies. Prior to Ares, Estelle worked in Investor Relations at Alcentra, and she started out her career as an analyst at BNY Mellon, London. Estelle holds a law degree (BCL) from the National University of Ireland Galway and a MSc from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin. She was born and raised in Ireland.

Ignacio de Lera

Ignacio joined Volpi in 2022 and is a member of the Investment Team. Prior to Volpi, he was an Investment Professional at HGGC, a Palo Alto-based private equity firm, where he focused primarily on software and business services investments across North America and Europe. He started his career in New York as an Investment Banker in the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance Group at Credit Suisse, where he worked on leveraged buyouts and debt financings for private equity clients. Ignacio holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, majoring in Finance and International Business. Ignacio was born in Madrid, Spain and lived in the United States for 15 years.

Jarlath Dooley

Jarlath has extensive experience in the Irish IT landscape specializing in People, Culture and Business Performance. Jarlath has worked with some of the country's most successful companies, including Iona Technologies, FINEOS and most recently, Version 1. He has operated at Board level for many years covering a broad range ofresponsibilities including People and Culture, IT, Business Systems and Marketing. Jarlath is joining the Volpi team as a People Advisor and he aims to share his passion and experience in scaling fast growth, high potential, IT businesses with the Volpi team and the Volpi portfolio.

Johannes von Bismarck

Johannes has over 25 years of experience in banking, investment banking and private equity fund management. Before joining Volpi Capital as industry advisor, Johannes was a Partner at technology & media investment bank Stella EOC (7 years) and Managing Director at private equity fund Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS, 8 years). Other positions were at US merchant bank Communications Equity Associates (CEA), German private bank Berenberg Bank and Deutsche Bank. Throughout his entire professional life Johannes sourced, led and advised on investments in the technology and media industries in Europe, with a focus on DACH.

Justin Franssen

Justin has over 5 years of investment banking experience in London. Before joining Volpi, he was part of the Technology M&A team at J.P. Morgan. Prior to this, he worked in the Technology, Media and Telecom ("TMT") M&A team at Barclays. During his investment banking period, Justin worked with various technology companies on M&A, equity and leveraged finance-related transactions across EMEA. Justin holds a graduate (MSc) degree in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam where graduated cum laude. He also holds a graduate (LLM) degree in Corporate Law from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Justin was born and raised in The Netherlands

Marc Andreoli

Marc has B2B tech and private equity experience across Europe and the USA. Prior to joining Volpi, Marc was part of SAP's cloud strategy group in San Francisco, where he focused on technology partnerships, in particular with Google, Intel, and Microsoft. Prior to that, he held roles in sales and consulting. Marc has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a masters from Duke University and a bachelors from Bocconi University. He is a citizen of France and USA.

Marco Sodi

Marco has over 30 years' private equity experience in Europe and the US in information and technology companies. Before founding Volpi Capital, he led the European investing activities of Veronis Suhler (VSS) from their inception in 1999, until 2010. He was a General Partner and member of the Firmwide Investment Committee and has served on numerous portfolio companies' boards. Marco joined VSS in the USA in 1988. Prior to this, he spent 5 years in operating roles in the technology industry and 3 years in venture technology investing. Between 2010 and 2016 he was an investor in, and chaired or served on the boards of ITE Group plc, EDSA, Autovista, Metro SA, The Racing Post, Antenna Group and Data Centrum. Marco has a BS from Cornell University and was born and raised in Florence, Italy.

Mathieu Himpe

Mathieu joined Volpi in 2020 with over 6 years of experience. Before, he was a Principal at Gimv, focusing on pan-European investments in software, engineered products and industrials. He analysed and executed several investments and helped realize international growth across the portfolio. Mathieu started his career as a consultant with Roland Berger, advising corporates as well as PE funds on a range of strategic topics in various industries. Mathieu holds Master's degrees from Solvay Business School and Vlerick Business School, and was born and raised in Belgium.

Maurits Regenboog

Olivia Ciardi

Olivia has over 10 years of investment banking and technology & growth company experience. She worked at Goldman Sachs in London for 6 years where she executed M&A, restructuring, IPO and debt financing transactions in Europe. Subsequently she worked at The Hut Group, where she led the M&A effort across the beauty, health and technology sectors. Prior to joining Volpi in 2017, she worked as a Vice President at Connaught, helping to build their advisory business for global technology and growth companies. Olivia has a B.S. in economics, with a major in finance, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Olivia was born in the United States and raised in the United Kingdom.

Robert Kloszewski

Robert has over 5 years of private equity and investment banking experience in London. Prior to joining Volpi, he was part of the investment team at Grafton Capital and focused on new investments in Lower Mid-Market Tech-enabled B2B and SaaS sectors in Europe. Robert started his career at Houlihan Lokey where he spent 4 years in the Tech M&A team, primarily working on mid-cap transactions involving B2B Subscription-based Technology businesses and Software solutions. Robert holds a first-class undergraduate degree (BSc) in Economics from the University of Warwick and a graduate degree (MSc) in Finance and Economics from LSE. Robert was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland.

Scott Fairlie

Scott has over 15 years of private equity and finance experience focused in the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining Volpi, Scott was a Director at Synova where he served on several portfolio company Boards and was involved in a number of successful exits across technology, business services and education investments. Prior to that he worked at KPMG and Bank of Scotland. Scott holds a BSc. Finance, Accounting and Management (Hons.) from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Teadora Clark

Teadora joined Volpi Capital in our administration team, following her graduation from Regent's University with a first-class degree in Business & Marketing. Teadora is bilingual, having been brought up between Oslo, Norway and New York, before moving to London in 2019 to study.

Thomas Mears-Alcaide

Thomas Mears-Alcaide joined Volpi to strengthen the Deal Origination Team in June 2023. Prior to joining, Tom worked for four years in London & Madrid as an ERP salesperson for Oracle, focusing on the B2B Software Services vertical and delivering outstanding results. Tom holds an International Relations & Psychology degree from the University of Plymouth and focused his studies on Game Theory modelling within International Relations. He was born in London and raised in Madrid
