Aidan O'Dwyer

Job Titles:

As President of US Project Operations, Aidan is charged with providing strategic leadership to guide DPS expansion in the U.S. through development and acquisition. He brings more than 22 years of biotech and pharmaceutical industry experience, having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for DPS in Framingham, Mass., since 2011, when the firm opened its first U.S. life sciences division through the acquisition of BioMetics. Aidan has held other senior management positions with DPS before relocating to the US and was responsible for the delivery of capital projects ranging in value from $10 - $100 million for clients such as Pfizer, Merck, GSK, Eli Lilly and Janssen across various geographic locations, including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Holland and Belgium. Before joining DPS, Aidan held senior project management positions with a number of global blue-chip pharmaceutical firms, where he played key roles in the delivery of capital projects ranging from $150 - $350 million.

Aimee Penko

Aimee Penko has more than 30 years of technical design and leadership experience within the life sciences. She will play a key role in championing continuous improvement of procedures and technical skills, identifying and mitigating project risks, reviewing deliverables for multi-disciplinary coordination, and promoting a culture of technical excellence. Projects will benefit from her core knowledge in the automation field with a broad understanding of all disciplines, project deliverables, and how to execute a project. A member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), Aimee earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Widener University.

Andrew Harris

Andrew Harris has more than 20 years of experience working in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries and is widely recognized for his process expertise. He will be responsible for consistent and coordinated execution of engineering systems and project deliverables within the Philadelphia operations. Leveraging his technical expertise, along with his long-term relationships, he'll focus on consistent and coordinated project execution and delivery. Andrew will also play a key role in developing talent and providing innovative and technical solutions for our life sciences clients.

Andy Wilkinson

Andy's career spans over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry. As our subject matter expert in aseptic processing design, aseptic filling, equipment/process design, installation, qualification, operation, and remediation, Andy will use his operational and technical experience to develop and implement solutions to achieve excellent client results. Andy earned a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He is a member of the PDA.

Art O'Grady

Art is the Operations Director for DPS Group's office in Cork and has over 30 years' experience in Manufacturing and Project Delivery environments. He has successfully and safely managed large projects and regional programs from business case analysis/approval, through all stages of project execution, to handover of a fully functioning commercial asset. Prior to joining DPS Group in 2019, Art worked extensively with GlaxoSmithKline, Jacobs and Schering Plough. During his time with GSK, Art worked as a Project Director leading a team of GSK Project Managers in the execution of a portfolio of projects across numerous Primary, Secondary, Biopharmaceutical and Consumer Health sites in the UK, mainland Europe & Ireland.As a Senior Project Manager with Jacobs, Art lead and managed multi-discipline, multi-office engineering teams in the execution of small and large capital projects up to >$250M. Art also worked with Schering Plough as a team lead in their Biotech facility where, during a period of significant growth, established and led an engineering team to operate and maintain key production plant, utilities and critical environmental systems in an FDA/cGMP/EPA regulated environment.

Ben Hund

Brian Donohoe - Chief Strategy Officer, COO

Appointed as Executive Director in 2015, Brian is Chief Operations Officer(COO) of DPS Group. Brian is an engineering graduate of University College Dublin(B.E) and holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France as well as being a Chartered Engineer(C.Eng.) member of Engineers Ireland. Brian started his career with Siemens Germany in process automation but has had a broad and varied engineering and management career including management consulting, private equity and construction. Prior to joining DPS in 2015, Brian was eleven years with a major Irish contractor in a number of senior management roles including Managing Director of their European division. He brings significant strategic, operational and international experience to the Board and executive team of DPS.

Carl Bradbury

Dara Quirke

In the 5 years prior to joining DPS, she gained extensive experience in recruitment, account management and operations/supplier management in the life sciences industry for global organizations. Deborah and her team support clients in the entire life sciences industry by delivering higher technical profiles whilst also providing the resources to support the growth of the internal Belgian DPS team.

Jim supports all of DPS' internal and external client relationships with expert guidance in the areas of planning, risk assessment, site selection, estimating, CQV, and operational readiness. He also has special expertise in strategic planning, real estate development, and risk assessments associated with capital projects and product development in the regulated industry and advanced technology sectors. Additionally, Jim fulfills the role of project sponsor for many of DPS' strategic project initiatives, providing senior management oversight and guidance to project teams on behalf of clients including Moderna, Sanofi, AbbVie, Acorda, Brammer Bio, and Waters Corporation. Jim is an active member of ISPE Boston, having previously served as president of the chapter's board of directors and helping to start the ISPE Boston Chapter Scholarship Fund. He is also a founding member of the I2SL New England Chapter.

Jimmy Boylan

Jimmy is a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager with DPS. He has over 15 years' experience in the development and execution of VDC processes throughout the entire Project Life Cycle. Jimmy has a depth of experience in utilising the latest VDC tools / applications and combining the latest BIM technologies to deliver value to clients in the form of reduced costs, increased quality, and shortened schedules on projects. His experience covers the integration through VDC of multiple project activities including design, cost planning, scheduling / construction sequencing, space coordination / constructability, logistics planning, prefabrication and asset management. As well as developing tools and metrics to visualise, analyse, and evaluate project performance. Jimmy has extensive experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the integration of information from multiple disciplines and project phases into a common multi-dimensional model including the development of data exchange and management protocols.

Marianne O'Sullivan

Marianne has in-depth knowledge of the ASTM E-2500 verification process and has managed the implementation on various projects and has helped clients develop risk based strategies for commissioning and verification of new and upgraded development and manufacturing facilities.

Mark Canter

Mark Canter is an industry-leading process engineer and manager with over 35 years of diverse experience in the biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. He has spearheaded the design and construction of large-scale bioreactors and fermentors, as well as complex modular process systems. He also has extensive A/E firm and owner-side experience in the scale-up and design of facilities for the production of recombinant therapeutics, including bacterial and cell culture platforms, as well as blood and plasma-derived products. Mark's design experience includes numerous antibody and vaccine projects ranging from small-scale clinical operations to very large-scale projects with multiple 20,000-liter bioreactors. He has worked with a range of clients, including both development stage companies and large multi-national biopharmaceutical companies. As Director of Biotechnology, Mark will drive innovation and thought leadership in the biotechnology market sector across all U.S. project operations business units within DPS. Working out of our Cary, NC office, he will foster and support a mentoring network for biotechnology-focused employees and will serve as a top-level technical expert for biotechnology project assignments on a global basis. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and is an active member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).

Mark McKeever

Mark has extensive experience in contract management and negotiation, change management, sourcing strategies, recognizing cost savings, and continuous improvement.

Mark White

Mark White is a lead engineer with over 21 years experience working in the chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries. Mark has combined management, production site and design office experience and has significant breadth and depth of experience across key process engineering activities. He has a particular interest in containment, process safety and EU directive compliance, and is a key technical expert with in DPS in these and other areas. Mark is a Chartered member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and the DPS member of the DIERS User Group.

Martijn Timmer

As VP of Operations, he executes a key role in the expansion of our Technical Services business both through organic development and acquisition.

Michael Martin

Reporting to the president of U.S. project operations, Werner Greyling, Philip will serve as a top-level technical expert while supporting projects on a global basis. With over 27 years of experience, Philip is a subject matter expert in process modeling and simulation. He is a global technical team leader with a track record of delivering targeted process models for design optimization, debottlenecking, scheduling, and cost reduction. He is experienced with many life sciences production processes including cell culture, small molecule, liquid fill, oral solid dosage, cell and gene therapy, plasma fractionation and oligonucleotides. These models often include supporting services such as utilities, waste, material and personnel logistics, warehousing, and quality control functions. Working with other process engineers to correctly calibrate and manipulate the models, these simulations help DPS Group's clients better understand how to increase throughput, decrease operating costs, and improve efficiency in overall operations. Philip received a PhD and M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Process Modeling and Control, from Lehigh University. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

Scott Sommer

With over 40 years in the automation industry, Scott possesses valuable experience in the digital transformation process through the use of data, IIOT, and smart manufacturing concepts. As an I&C department manager for DPS Group, Scott will support clients by leveraging his extensive experience to mentor and train the next generation of automation engineers. Scott is a team chair for ABET, a global accreditor of over 4,300 college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology programs in 40+ countries worldwide. Scott leads program evaluators through careful examination and evaluation of programs against accreditation criteria - reviewing course materials and student transcripts; interviewing faculty, staff, and students; and examining academic facilities, such as laboratories and libraries. He is an engineer first, maintaining a strong focus on technical design coordination and quality. His career in life sciences began as a mechanical/HVAC engineer, working on pharma and biotech projects spanning small renovations, clinical manufacturing, and commercial manufacturing facilities. Stan has managed numerous high-profile life sciences projects over the past 17 years. Most recently, he served as an operations manager, senior project manager, and project executive. In these roles, Stan drove team performance and client satisfaction, managed projects from sales through start-up, and served as project director and project manager mentor for trainees and new hires. An active member since 2011, Tom has served with the Product Show Planning Committee, working in many capacities focusing on education and event exhibitors, culminating in chairing the committee for two years before joining the ISPE Boston Board of Directors in July 2018. He was elected Secretary in July 2019. A former Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy, Tom has over 17years of experience managing projects and teams, with nine of those in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
