Eugene Labuschagne

Eugene has traded across Africa for 27 years, and has extensive experience in cross-border procurement and logistics in Africa and the Middle East. He has developed deep and enduring relationships with large industrial and mining customers on the African continent and has long-term and professional relationships with key suppliers of goods and equipment destined for these sectors. Eugene's wholly-owned company, Engineering and Electrical Supplies, is headquartered in South Africa with satellite operations in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Besides his continued involvement in his trading business, Eugene is currently promoting and developing various housing development, alternative energy, mining and industrial projects across Africa.

Howard Craig - CEO

Howard has over 30 years experience in business leadership roles, in entities operating across Africa and the rest of the world. He has significant experience in large projects; most notably, in his capacity as chief operating officer for Sasol's natural gas and oil operations, he was responsible for the multi-billion dollar expansion project to increase the capacity of Sasol's natural gas plant in Mozambique. He has had key executive roles and also led large organizations, start-up & joint venture operations in USA and Australia, steering company operations in Chile, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Mozambique, Gabon, Nigeria, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and London. Howard is currently promoting and leading various alternative energy, gas pipeline, industrial and mining projects across Africa. Life-cycles of projects currently under consideration range from concept to execution stage. Responsible for, inter alia, developing and implementing project execution and commercial strategies, developing and presenting business plans, interfacing with various government and funding agencies and coordinating project resources.

Johan Myburgh

Johan has over 40 years experience in the pulp and paper industry. Starting his career as a technical assistant at a plywood mill, he has subsequently held numerous roles as Technical manager, Production Superintendent, Mill Manager and Process Development Manager at a number of pulp & paper mills, including a large, international leader in the global industry. Johan has extensive experience in process design and optimisation, plant operations, plant rebuilds and commissioning and trouble-shooting for both pulp and paper operations. He has overseen the implementation of international Quality Control systems and operational best practices. He has also had responsibility for health, safety and environmental issues. Johan also served on the board of the Lower Tugela Irrigation Board and was a member of the task team responsible for input and refinements to the South African national Water Act. Recently retired from full-time employment, Johan currently consults to the pulp and paper industry.

John Davidson - Chairman

John has been in private practice as an attorney for over thirty years. He specialises in corporate and commercial law. Initially he practiced in the field of litigation and headed the commercial litigation division of a major Johannesburg law firm before establishing an independent niche practice in the field of commercial law. He has extensive experience in commercial law, corporate governance and adherence to the regulatory framework, and dispute resolution. He has advised and represented banks, financial institutions and commercial entities in general.
