Andrea joined the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering Advancement Team in May 2022 as a Director of Advancement. Before joining the engineering team, she led philanthropic efforts for four years at the university's Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, supporting opportunities housed across the division's 29 university-wide departments. Prior to working for the University of Houston, Andrea honed her fundraising skills at a variety of notable Houston institutions - including the Houston Grand Opera, Be The Match, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Before that, Andrea supported multiple fundraising campaigns for Houston area politicians. Bill Callegari holds a BS from Louisiana State University and an MS Civil Engineering from the University of Houston. He has been a Licensed Professional engineer for over 50 years. He also holds "Double A" Certifications in water and wastewater operations. Early in his career, he served as design engineer and project manager for water and wastewater facilities. In 1974 Mr. Callegari founded AM-TEX Corporation, which provided operations and management services to utility districts and municipalities throughout Texas. As President and CEO, he pioneered AM-TEX's growth as a major force in the state and national water industry. He currently owns WC Engineers, which provides engineering consulting services for municipal and commercial projects, water and wastewater system planning and design, and coordination and management of public infrastructure. Over his career, he was involved in the design, development, and operation of several major residential and commercial projects in the Houston area, including The Woodlands, Kingwood, Copperfield, Fairfield, Cinco Ranch, Atascocita, Clear Lake City and many others. He has participated in engineering and operations for hundreds of utility districts and cities in Texas, Florida, Colorado, and New England. Subsequent to selling AM-TEX in the mid 1990's, he served as President of major national and international water companies. During his professional career Mr. Callegari founded the Association of Water Board Directors, and served in leadership positions in several community and professional organizations and boards. Mr. Callegari served as a member of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees in the 1980's. He was elected to the State Legislature in 2000, representing Katy & Cypress in West Harris County for fourteen years. As a State Representative he was considered by many as the House of Representatives' leading water expert. Mr. Callegari is a member of both the LSU and the University of Houston College of Engineering Halls of Distinction as well as the LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction and the LSU Alumni Center Wall of Honor. His legacy at LSU is recognized thanks to the William A. Callegari Environmental Center on the LSU campus named in his honor. Callegari is proud to have been named as a Distinguished Engineer and a "Fellow" by the Texas Engineering Foundation. He was also honored by TSPE with the "George Washington Citizen Engineer Award".

His 49-year career began with a BSCE from Texas A&M University in 1974 and an MSCE from the University of Houston in 1976. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas. In 2011, Wayne was appointed by the mayor of Houston to the Coastal Water Authority Board of Directors and serves as Board President. He has served on the Community Resilience Task Force for the Department of Homeland Security. He chaired the Public Works Transition Teams for two consecutive Houston mayors. He served as National President of ASCE in 2008 - 2009. Wayne is a founder and Past Chair of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. Wayne was a cofounder and board member of TAG Houston Region. Among his awards are the 2012 Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award from the University of Houston where he was also inducted into the University of Houston Academy of Distinguished Civil & Environmental Engineers. UH has named him a prestigious Bridge Builder award. In 2004, he was named a Texas A&M Distinguished Graduate of the Department of Civil Engineering. Other awards include the 2011 Texas Engineer of the Year Award, 2011 Houston Engineer of the Year Award, ASCE National 2005 Edmund Friedman Professional Recognition Award. He has also been awarded the Texas Section and Houston Branch ASCE Awards of Honor. Wayne received the Texas ASCE Lifetime Achievement Award. Wayne is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE) and received the AAWRE 2018 Water Resources Practitioner of the Year award. Dr. Kalsi earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College in India in 1967. He came to the United States to pursue his graduate studies which were also in the field of Mechanical Engineering, and chose the University of Houston. While at the University of Houston, Professor Gabriel Fazekas had an outsized influence on Dr. Kalsi's research, and eventual career path. Dr. Kalsi earned his master's degree in 1970 and began a career in industry. While working full time, he continued his graduate studies at the University of Houston earning his Ph.D. in 1975. Dr. Kalsi worked in the valve design and manufacturing industry for 10 years before starting his own business. The last position he held was the Manager of R&D at a major valve company in the Houston area. In 1978, Dr. Kalsi founded Kalsi Engineering, Inc. to provide design, analysis, and testing services for mechanical equipment to the oilfield, petrochemical, and nuclear power industries. Kalsi Engineering, Inc. is recognized worldwide for providing technically rigorous solutions to some of the most challenging valve and sealing problems in these industries. Both technologies rely heavily upon the fundamentals of tribology that Professor Fazekas taught. Based upon insights gained from his graduate research, Dr. Kalsi developed a hydrodynamic rotary seal for harsh applications in the drilling industry. Over the years, the staff has provided many innovations that dramatically expand the performance, reliability and life of the Kalsi-brand rotary seal product line. Some of this research was performed in collaboration with the University of Houston. Dr. Kalsi continues to maintain a very strong relationship with the University of Houston. He is currently the Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Industrial Advisory Board and a member of the Engineering Leadership Board of Cullen College of Engineering. Dr. Kalsi has continued over the years to donate to numerous scholarships that have supported undergraduate and graduate engineering students at the University of Houston. Margarita currently serves as the Senior Director of Advancement for the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering. She has nearly 15 years of experience within philanthropy serving across organizations ranging from corporate, nonprofit and most recently higher education. Margarita works to build institutional resources to help advance the philanthropic goals of alumni, industry partners and other community organizations. Most recently, she led the philanthropic efforts of the College of Technology during the immensely successful UH-System $1 billion "Here We Go" campaign. Margarita is a relationship-centered leader with a passion for transformational philanthropy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of St. Thomas and earned her Master of Business Administration from the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston in May 2021. She is a proud Houstonian and resides in the Near Northside community with her wife, Jessica, son, Gedeón, gray tabby cat, Jules, and German Shepherd dog, Maxine. During her free time, she mentors first-generation STEM Latine college students and serves as the Vice-Chair of The Hollyfield Foundation.

Matt Abraham

Matt Abraham is the Business Development Director for INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA. Mr. Abraham served as Chief Operating Officer of INEOS USA Oil & Gas prior to that and started up the U.S. oil & gas business for INEOS with the Giddings field asset acquisition. He negotiated and executed the $1.4 billion transaction for the Chesapeake South Texas Oil asset increasing INEOS' production to 37 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day and holdings to 217 thousand net mineral acres in Texas. He started his career with Amoco as an Engineer and progressed to Project General Manager and Product Manager prior to the acquisition of Amoco by BP. In BP he held various commercial roles including Business Manager. He has a blend of experience in general management, business process reengineering, business development, operations, and strategic planning. He has worked with Harris County and Greater Houston Partnership to bring new capital projects to Houston area. Mr. Abraham earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree in 1989 and MBA in 1994 from the University of Houston. He earned a MBTS from the Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019. He is a Life Member of the Houston Alumni Association and serves on the UH Engineering Leadership Board.

Mr. Cobb earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from the University of Houston in 1971 and 1979. Several years after graduating from the University of Houston he became registered in the State of Texas as a licensed Professional Engineer and as a Registered Land Surveyor. In 1980, Mr. Cobb and fellow UH alumnus Bill Fendley established the Houston based civil engineering and land surveying firm Cobb, Fendley and Associates, Inc. where he served as President and Director through 2008 and from which he retired in 2013. Mr. Cobb was active in the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, the Houston Engineering and Scientific Society (HESS) and the Houston Council of Engineering Companies (HCEC). While involved with these organizations he served as President of HESS and as a Director with HCEC. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Coastal Water Authority by Houston Mayor Annise Parker in March 2010 where he served through March 2016. Terrance (Terri) N. Ivers' successful engineering and construction career includes extensive international project and business management experience in the global energy sector. He launched his career at Brown & Root, where he developed a comprehensive and extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry during his 27 years with the company. He retired in 2004 as KBR Officer and Vice President of Global Offshore Engineering. During his tenure his assignments included pipe fitters helper, functional department manager, engineering systems coordination, project engineering manager and project manager. From 2004 to 2007, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Wood Group Engineering where he implemented operational execution structure in the form of process and procedure to an already highly respected enterprise. From 2007 to 2011, Ivers served as President of Amec Paragon, Inc. and was responsible for Amec Natural Resources Americas' oil and gas operations. Under his leadership, revenue and EBITA grew as the result of expanded relationships with major operators in the US and West Africa. With Siemens from 2011 to 2013, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Oil and Gas, Compression and Solutions Business Unit. In this role, Ivers was responsible for the 2.5 billion euro global compression manufacturing and oil and gas business solutions from hubs in Germany, Norway, Singapore, Brazil, China, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Prior to leaving the business, he restructured the Solutions BU so as to better establish business targets by location and for each business segment. From 2013 through 2015 Ivers was a member of the executive leadership team of SNC-Lavalin's Resources, Environment & Water group. As the Executive Vice President of the group, he was responsible for leading oil and gas regional centers and providing perspective on the company's strategic vision, development and execution. His drive and business acumen strengthened business growth, particularly in the Middle East and new markets. Ivers departed SNC-Lavalin in August of 2015 after the successful integration of Kentz Oil & Gas, which the company acquired in 2014. Most recently (2016 through 2020) Ivers served as Executive President of the Bilfinger North America Division and as a member of the divisional management board. This position afforded the opportunity to establish a division from four dispirit businesses in the United States while building a foundation of growth upon the core tenets of his career: personnel safety, operational excellence, contract excellence, compliance excellence, personnel development and client service. The new division overcame project losses and litigation from 2016/2017 to deliver a best in Group performance in 2019. Ivers departed in 2020 after completing a one year extension to his initial contract. During the course of his career, Ivers maintained a deep commitment to his community, to the University of Houston and to engineering education. He is a 1980 BSME graduate from UH. He has recently completed four years as chairman of the Cullen College's Engineering Leadership Board while also having served on the Mechanical Engineering Department Industrial Advisory Board. For his unwavering commitment to the Cullen College, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the UH Engineering Alumni Association in 2016. He has over 43 years of experience involving civil engineering and land surveying projects in Texas and is a proud graduate of the University of Houston 1971 class with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in six states and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas. Mr. Fendley worked for six years with the Houston District of TxDOT while attending the University of Houston, and for nine years with a privately owned civil engineering firm before starting his own firm in 1980. He has held leadership positions in Professional Engineering organizations at the national, state and local levels. He volunteers at the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering School, sitting on the Engineering Leadership Dean's Board and the Civil Engineer Advisory Board.
