Charles Cain

Charles Cain is the General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of PL Developments, the nation's second-largest packager, and distributor of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Charles graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Economics and completed his Juris Doctorate/Master of Business Administration degree at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Charles has chaired many local boards, including the High Point Economic Development Corporation, High Point Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Greater High Point.

Curtis Holloman

Curtis Holloman joined the Foundation in January 2021 and serves as the Executive Director. He comes to the Foundation with 20 years of philanthropic experience, working with communities to address conditions that influence health. Prior to joining the Foundation, Curtis served as a Senior Advisor and Senior Director of Grants and Programs for the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg during its start-up. Curtis was the Deputy Director for two Robert Wood Johnson national program offices including the Local Funding Partnerships, based at the Health Research Education Trust at the New Jersey Hospital Association, and Southern Rural Access Program, based at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine. He served as the Health Director for both Scotland County and Sampson County Health Departments and started his career working with a group of community rural health clinics in Robeson County. He earned his MBA at Temple University, an MA in Political Science at Appalachian State University, and a BA in Public Administration and Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. As a North Carolina native, Curtis is excited about the opportunity to return home and work locally in the Greater High Point area to improve health and wellness.

David Jones

David Jones has called High Point home for his entire adult life. After 34 years as a Certified Financial Planner with Edward Jones Investments, he retired in 2019. He looks forward to bringing his practical skills to the Board. David served as a volunteer and board member of High Point Young Life and Boy Scouts of America. He is currently the Treasurer of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and a member of the Kiwanis Club of High Point.

Dr. Elliott Williams - Chairman

A board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Elliott Williams graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Elliott has called High Point home since 1993. Currently, he serves as the Chief of Anesthesia for the High Point Medical Center. He is also a former member of the High Point Regional Board of Trustees and has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Community Clinic of High Point.

Dr. James Hoekstra

Dr. James Hoekstra is the President of High Point Medical Center. He serves on Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center strategy leadership team and is a key physician leader in the health system, helping drive growth of clinical programs and foster strong academic relationships. Dr. Hoekstra graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1984 and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati. Following five years on faculty of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, he was recruited in 2003 to Wake Forest School of Medicine as Chair of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Linda Taylor

Dr. Linda Taylor is an experienced leader and physician with 29 years practicing Emergency Medicine. She received her undergraduate and medical school degrees from Howard University. Throughout her career she has held multiple hospital administrative positions and board appointments. She is very active in the community, currently on the board of Habitat for Humanity of High Point, an alumni member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and member of the Links, a national African American community service organization.

Dr. Patrick Harman

Dr. Patrick Harman is the Executive Director of the Hayden-Harman Foundation and is a High Point native. The Hayden-Harman Foundation areas of focus include a revitalization effort in the Washington Street area, Growing High Point whose focus is neighborhood transformation, and initiating Resilience High Point, an alliance of public, private, and non-profit organizations collaborating to develop integrated infrastructure that empowers all individuals and families to thrive. Most recently, Dr. Harman led the development of the High Point Resources website, which provides current information on community resources. He is a founding board member of the Friends of John Coltrane and serves on the board of Forward High Point. He attended High Point University, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Educational Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in Educational Research Psychology at UNC Greensboro. Dr. Harman has served as adjunct faculty at both Elon University and High Point University.

Eva Ogden

Eva Ogden is a senior vice president and regional diversity and inclusion advisor for Pinnacle Bank's Virginia, Carolinas, and D.C. markets - based in High Point, NC. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Dallas, completed studies in diversity and inclusion for human resources professionals at Cornell University, and holds a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. She is a North Carolina Bankers Association member and serves on its diversity, equity and inclusion board, where she chairs the D & I strategy and education committee. She is on the board of Guilford Works and serves on the Guilford Jobs 2030 committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, where she is the community committee chair and equity committee co-chair.

Harry R. "Frosty" Culp

Harry R. "Frosty" Culp is a retired dentist. Frosty practiced general dentistry from 1980-2012. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B. A. in history and completed his DDS at UNC-Chapel HIll in 1980. Frosty has chaired the High Point Regional Health System Endowment Committee, the Community Clinic of High Point Board of Directors, and served on numerous local boards including the High Point Regional Health System Board of Trustees, Family Service of the Piedmont, Wells Fargo High Point Board, and the High Point Community Foundation.

Jeremy Moseley

Jeremy Moseley is the Director for Community Engagement of Wake Forest Baptist Health's FaithHealth Division. He has a B.S. in Public Health Policy and Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master's in Public Health Analysis and Management from East Carolina University. Jeremy has experience with community-based care transitions, increasing community engagement and access to services, and linking community resources to healthcare systems. He has worked in a variety of settings including an academic medical center, state health department, academic research center, community health center, and community hospital to implement various health care and public health activities to improve systems, and health and well-being through state and local community partnerships.

Kia Streater

As a Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo Advisors, Kia enjoys helping clients understand their current financial situation and bringing confidence in setting realistic financial goals for their future. A graduate of North Carolina A&T, Kia is actively involved within the community. She sits on the Advisory Council for The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of High Point, is a member of the Gate City Alumni Chapter Association, and is Chairperson of the BHP WE Lead program. As a 2019 Leadership High Point grad, Kia feels the experience allowed her to gain insight into the history of High Point and the community leaders committed to its growth and revitalization. Kia finds motivation in her favorite quote by the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, "If you want to be a true professional, you will do something outside yourself… something to make life a little bit better for people less fortunate than you."

Rev. Frank Thomas

Reverend Dr. Frank K. Thomas is the sixth pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of High Point since 2009. He served in the United States Army for 25 years, retiring in 2007 as the Senior Military Science Instructor at Wake Forest University. He received a Master of Ministerial Arts degree from the A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology in Seattle, Washington and an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian University in Jacksonville, Florida. Frank has served on the Minister's Conference of High Point and vicinity, Campaign Chair of the United Way of Greater High Point, and Chair of the High Point Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board.

Tony Collins

Tricia Gambill

Tricia Gambill joined the Foundation in June 2021 and serves as the Operations and Grants Manager. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked for over 20 years in marketing, communications and project management - most recently in higher education as the Marketing Manager for Forsyth Technical Community College. She earned a BS in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.

Whitney Davis

Whitney Davis joined the Foundation in May 2019 and serves as the Program Officer. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was an evaluator at Wake Forest School of Medicine, the Chief Mission Officer at Prevention Partners, and a lobbyist for the Basic Education Coalition in Washington, DC. She earned an MPH in Health Behavior from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and a BA in French from Davidson College. Whitney was also recognized as a Davidson Game Changer in 2017.
