Sangita Shah

Sangita Shah graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She later went on to complete her Master of Science in Construction Management and Engineering at UMd. After graduation Sangita worked for a large commercial construction company in the Washington DC market. While there, she worked on the Redskins Stadium, Historic DC office buildings and other new building construction. She left that company to work with a smaller company that specializes in tenant interior construction and high end retail, law firms, news rooms, restaurants, etc. In 2011, Sangita established SS Custom Homes, LLC to cater to a growing demand for custom built homes for young families who want to live in urban areas while maintaining a level of luxury and comfort. Sangita has held a LEED A.P. certification since 2007 and received her PMI (Project Management Institute) certification in 2011. Sangita, her husband, and their two children live in the Oakton, VA area.

Satish Shah

Satish first came to the US to study Structural Engineering at Yale University. He worked in Connecticut for many years as a structural engineer. After becoming a principal of Spiegel, Zamecnik and Shah, Inc. Satish moved to the Washington DC metro area to open a branch office. Satish is licensed as a structural engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. He has over 40 years of experience designing both residential and large commercial properties. His residential experience spans from underpinning of townhomes in Georgetown to large custom homes measuring 50,000 sq. ft. He has completed residences in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and elsewhere. His commercial projects include the National Air & Space Museum in Chantilly, VA and the National Maritime Center Authority, in Norfolk, VA, among others. Satish is a long-standing member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, and other associations. Satish lives in Northern Virginia and enjoys spending time with his two children and four grandchildren.
