Karma is from Trongsa in Central Bhutan. He studied in Bhutan, India & the United States. This assorted upbringing has given him a good appreciation of how things work throughout Bhutan and abroad. Using his outdoor skills in combination with his management professionalism, Karma helps to create adventure programs that will provide you with the most satisfying use of your precious time in the Kingdom. Whenever the opportunity allows, nothing will stop him from getting outdoors to "guide trips" and "conduct more research".
Karma currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Yangphel. He represented Bhutan as the Vice President for the SAARC - Chamber of Commerce & Industry. His previous responsibilities include being the President of the Association of Bhutanese Tour operators (ABTO), Board Director of Drukair (Royal Bhutan Airlines), Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB), and the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce (BCCI). He also serves as the passionate Board Director of Youth Development Organization, Board Director of the Druk Holding & Investments and is the chairman of Bhutan Insurance Limited.

Kezang hails from Paro and before working as a guide in Bhutan he worked on a small scale poultry and mushroom farm in Paro. In 2005, Kesang joined Yangphel leading cultural, trekking, photography, and Buddhist tours. Over the past 10 years, he has participated in several training courses, including an entrepreneurship development program organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs; a guide course organized by the tourism Council of Bhutan; certification courses in culture and trekking tours; a first aid responder's course; and tour leader training organized by Explore Worldwide. He enjoys soccer, archery, reading, travel, biking and hiking and was a youth leader during the first democratic elections in the Kingdom.
Reeta is our Manager of Accounts, providing a valuable point of contact for all things finance both within the office & as an important contact point for our customers.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the finance department of the company, Reeta has fantastic knowledge of the accounting softwares as well as an excellent rapport with customers. She is very jovial and a great team player.

Sonam acquired a Bachelors Degree from the Lady Shriram College of Commerce under the University of Delhi in India. After graduating, she worked at the Amankora for a year before joining Yangphel Adventure Travel. She is currently the Executive Travel Manager overseeing the Adventure Travel product development in addition to her role in marketing and communications.
Sonam hails from a small hamlet in the far eastern district of Trashigang and is the only daughter of three siblings. She has an inexhaustible energy at work and runs a tight-ship within the office, perhaps a trait she possessed from her father who was a retired army officer.
Tashi Namgay is a veteran tour leader both on cultural trips and trekking trips. He started his career in guiding since high school days and is passionate about sharing the Bhutanese culture, tradition and Buddhist philosophy to his guests. His local knowledge comes from the earlier job he held as the assistant curator of the National Museum in Paro Bhutan. He has done extensive research on Iconography of Buddhist Art for Buddhist scroll paintings called Thangkas. He has fond memories of his fellowship at National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, USA and also participating in the WWF - International Tiger Conference. He holds a Bachelors Degree in English Honors from Delhi University.
