Empowered Communities was established in February 2014, with the aim to tackle poverty and social exclusion. We do this by providing support to empower people to change their own lives and their communities. We believe that by empowering the individual, they are then able to lift themselves out of poverty and social exclusion. Long-term change is made in their lives, and they are able to support the transformation of their communities... Empowered Communities is a registered charity. We empower people in poverty and most excluded to transform their lives, and their communities... We work in some of the most deprived communities in the UK, and with some of the most socially excluded and hard to reach people. We are with them every step of the way to transform their lives, and their communities, for the better.
