is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Mississippi State University. David received his Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at Mississippi State in 1997. After working at Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne and Eastern Kentucky University, David returned to Mississippi State University in the Fall of 2012. David has authored or coauthored six books and over 100 scholarly articles and book chapters around his research interests of fear of crime, school safety, cybercrime, policing, corrections, military sociology, open source intelligence analysis, and human robot interaction. In addition to those works, Dr. May is currently a co-PI on research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the Henry Family Foundation, and the Department of Defense. He is active in research and service in (1) community crime prevention and school safety work, (2) work dealing with reentry and other correctional issues for both officers and inmates, and (3) cybercrime research. He is currently coauthoring books on school safety and the school to prison pipeline and writing a variety of articles about corrections, school resource officers, and cybercrime issues.

John A. "Drew" Hamilton, Jr., Ph.D., is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Director of MSU's Center for Cyber Innovation. Previously he served as Alumni Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Auburn University where he established Auburn's Cyber Security program. He is a Fellow and former President of the Society for Modeling & Simulation, International (SCS), and former Chair of ACM's Special Interest Group on Simulation (SIGSIM).
During his active duty career in the United States Army, he commanded HQs & HQs Battery, 1st Bn. 5th Field Artillery, Battery A, 8th Bn., 8th Field Artillery, Service Battery, 1st Bn, 8th Field Artillery and Battery F (sep), 7th Field Artillery and qualified in nuclear/chemical targeting. Dr. Hamilton served as the first Director of the Joint Forces Program Office at SPAWAR working command & control interoperability and on the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Faculty of the United States Military Academy, as well as Chief of the Ada Joint Program Office. Dr. Hamilton is a graduate of the Naval War College with distinction.

Matthew Dean is a Clinical Psychology PhD student at Mississippi State University. Matt received his Bachelor's in Psychology and Bachelor's in Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement from the University of Mississippi in 2019.
During his time as an undergraduate, Matt worked within Mississippi's Cold Case Task Force. In this role, he assisted in investigative analysis of unsolved homicide and missing person cases throughout the state. He also volunteered as a crisis hotline operator with the Memphis Crisis Center, where he worked the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL) and other crisis lines under the Center's operation.

Mike Navicky is the Director for High Performance Computing at the High Performance Computing Collaboratory (HPC2), Mike oversees computing, data storage, data communications and general operations for the HPC2. Prior to joining the Mississippi State University team in June 2021, Mike served 21 years in the United States Air Force. During this time Mike logged more than 3,000 flight hours in the C-17, MQ-1 and MQ-9. The highlight of his aviation assignments was his year in Kandahar, Afghanistan serving as the commander of the Air Force's largest launch and recovery MQ-1/9 squadron. In 2016 Mike transitioned into cybersecurity serving to develop cybersecurity policy during his assignment at the Pentagon. Additionally, Mike served as the commander of a 110 Airmen communications squadron providing network services for 6,000 users. Mike is a 2018 graduate of the United States Army War College.

Rob Premo is the Director of the Center for Cyber Innovation (CCI). CCI is part of the High Performance Computing Collaboratory at Mississippi State University. They seek to develop cutting-edge solutions for Defense, Homeland Security and the Intelligence Community. Prior to the joining the Mississippi State University team Rob served more than 30 years in the Department of Defense. While serving as a United States Marine he completed multiple deployments in support of combat and contingency operations as well as multiple staff tours. Rob retired in 2009 with more than 2200 flight hours, primarily in the FA-18. In 2010 he joined the Missile Defense Agency serving in a number of positions in the Directorate for Acquisition. In January 2023, he joined the Mississippi State University team after having served as the Program Director for the Advanced Programs / Concept Exploration portfolio within the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications and Ground Sensors Program Executive Office at the Missile Defense Agency.

Sierra Nelson is a Research Associate at the Mississippi State University Social Science Research Center and MSU's High Performance Computing Center (HPC2). She is also a criminology doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology. Her current projects and publications utilize open source intelligence and open source data to examine online extremism, online radicalization, and the spread of online propaganda. She is also engaged in research examining social media sentiments surrounding highly publicized events-including those pertaining to mass violence. Sierra's other research interests include school safety research, school bullying, spatial variations in suicide, and policy analysis. Sierra strives to create scalable research that can result in both impactful and sustainable social change.
Sierra Nelson received a B.S. in Social Justice and Criminology from Delta State University and an M.S. in Sociology from Mississippi State University. She expects to complete her Ph.D. in Sociology at Mississippi State University by the Spring of 2024.
