Andrea Hams

Andrea has more than 20 years' experience in Indigenous education, employment, and business development and participation. She has worked with both governments and corporate sector to improve opportunities for Indigenous youth. Andrea joined the David Liddiard Group as Director in 2012 and was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer a year later. During this time, she has advised more than a hundred corporate partners. Her work has included advising executives on actions to increase Indigenous participation, facilitating more than 40 Reconciliation Action Plans and developing pre-employment strategies for Indigenous youth. In 2009, Andrea was awarded a Churchill Fellowship.

David Liddiard - Chairman

For three decades David Liddiard OAM, a proud Biripi and Ngarabal man, has been committed to closing the education, health and employment gaps between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. David launched the David Liddiard Group in 2013, driven by the belief that for true Indigenous economic independence and prosperity, there must be a successful Indigenous economy with vibrant and sustainable Indigenous businesses competing in the corporate sector. The David Liddiard Group brings together Indigenous owned businesses across Australia, with a shared commitment to creating positive futures through full economic participation. One initiative is a pathway program to foster Indigenous employment and enterprise development.

Michael Barnes

Michael has had a long-standing career in the construction industry and brings extensive knowledge of the built environment to DLG SHAPE. During his 20 years as CEO and Managing Director of SHAPE, the business grew to a national provider with annual revenues between up to $600 million. Michael has a detailed understanding of how early engagement with building contractors in the planning process can foster improvements in project outcomes. This approach has been proven to deliver innovation, efficiency, certainty and reduce project costs. Michael holds a degree in Civil Engineering, was a Director of the Green Building Council of Australia for ten years, and Chair of the Green Building Council of Australia Audit committee for five years.

Michael Manikas

Michael is a proud Biripi and Worimi man, descendent from the Cook and Syron families. He is passionate about Indigenous engagement, particularly in the built environment, social impact issues, sustainability, and family. Michael is a father of three girls and loves coaching their sports and getting involved in their musical interests. Michael was appointed General Manager at DLG SHAPE in 2019, with the goal to make a serious impact on reconciliation and improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through employment and business opportunities. He has almost 30 years' experience in the construction and not-for-profit space, and currently holds advisory positions with Western Sydney University and UTS, plus is the Deputy Chair of Property Council of Australia's NSW Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Peter Marix-Evans - CEO

Peter was appointed as Director/CEO of DLG SHAPE in 2017, following his involvement in the early development of DLG SHAPE. He loves anything that involves boats or water and is a proud father of two teenage boys. Since 2017, Peter has been Chief Executive Officer at SHAPE. During his 11 years at the company, he's held numerous positions, including Group Executive and General Manager of NSW and Chief Operating Officer. Peter brings over 30 years of wide-ranging construction and industry experience, having held senior roles in both commercial and public sectors, including risk and commercial management, customer experience and environmental health and safety (EHS).

Scott Jamieson - CFO

Scott was appointed Chief Financial Officer of DLG SHAPE in its inception. He is responsible for DLG SHAPE's financial functions, including risk management and support, as the business executes its strategies and initiatives. Scott has been an integral member of the SHAPE team for more than a decade. After working as an External Auditor of SHAPE for seven years, he joined the business in 2008 as Financial Controller. Scott was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2012. He has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.
