Andrew Colman

Andrew Colman is a leading junior of great intellect and experience, held in high esteem for his fairness and integrity and for his particular ability to cut through complex issues of fact or law in order to get to the heart of the matter. For the past fifteen years he has specialised exclusively in the area of professional discipline, establishing a solid reputation as one of the foremost practitioners in the field. He formerly presented some of the GMC's most serious and substantial cases, but now deploys his expertise in the defence of doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals at the MPTS, GDC, HCPTS and elsewhere. He is commonly instructed in lengthy and complex Fitness to Practise cases. He also acts for and advises regulators (for example, the GOC and GPhC) and registrants in other professions, such as solicitors. Andrew appears regularly in the High Court, on statutory appeals, judicial reviews and ancillary matters. Christopher Foulkes

Christopher Foulkes specialises in business crime and related areas. His practice spans the criminal and civil jurisdictions. He advises and represents companies and individuals in respect of serious and complex fraud, bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, asset forfeiture and regulatory obligations. He has been involved in prosecuting a number of the most significant fraud and corruption prosecutions in recent years, and has acted for the SFO, CPS Specialist Fraud Division and other prosecuting authorities for much of his career. He speaks in seminars and webinars on his specialist areas. He is ranked as a leader in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK for Business and Regulatory Crime and Financial Crime work.

Christopher Geering

Christopher Geering has a strong reputation in the fields of Professional Discipline and Coronial proceedings. He appears regularly before all the major healthcare regulators, as well as teaching and accountancy bodies. He has experience dealing with cases of particular seriousness - including successfully representing the financial director of an NHS Trust who was awarded record costs against the ACCA after being accused of backdating million pound contracts, and a doctor accused of a sexual assault on a colleague. In addition to fitness to practise proceedings, he regularly appears in the High Court, both for and against the regulator. In coronial work he has represented the interests of a care home and County Council, as well as those of individual doctors or nurses. Christopher also has a significant advisory practice. Craig Ferguson

Craig is a leader of the 2 Hare Court Criminal Regulatory Team and he regularly represents corporate bodies, their officers and other individuals before the criminal courts in relation to the full range of criminal offences arising out of fatal and non-fatal accidents. He is currently instructed to act on behalf of companies large and small from a wide variety of industry sectors in relation to proceedings following fatalities at work, including construction, energy, steel fabrication, printing, security, mobile telecommunications, transport, healthcare and hydraulic lifting. Craig Ferguson is a highly experienced defence practitioner who has, for many years been cited as a leading junior by the leading professional directories where he is ranked in their highest bands. Daniel Chadwick

Daniel Mullin

Daniel joined 2 Hare Court as a Pupil Barrister in September 2021 under the supervision of David Whittaker QC and Merry van Woodenberg. He is observing and assisting in matters across the range of Chambers' practice areas. Prior to starting pupillage, Daniel worked for a charity providing criminal representation, working on cases involving murder and terrorism, as well as the ‘Encrochat' litigation. Daniel has also volunteered for Amicus, Citizens Advice, and the Free Representation Unit. Before focusing on criminal law, Daniel worked in the corporate and commercial sector. He worked in the City of London, and in the Channel Islands, providing research and advice on regulatory and corporate law to multinational businesses.

Eleanor Fox

Eleanor Fox joined 2 Hare Court as a third six pupil in October 2022 under the supervision of Zubair Ahmad KC and Christopher Foulkes. Eleanor has developed a broad criminal practice and is instructed to prosecute and defend in the Magistrates' Court, Youth Court, and the Crown Court. She defends across the spectrum of criminal offences, including public order offences, cases of domestic violence, and possession of offensive weapons. Eleanor is a member of the CPS Advocates' Panel at Grade One and prosecutes trials in the Magistrates' Court and appeals in the Crown Court. Prior to coming to the Bar, Eleanor worked at an investment bank for three years. She has also volunteered for Amicus.

Grace Forbes

Grace Forbes specialises in criminal law, inquires, inquests and professional discipline. She is ranked as a ‘Rising Star' (Tier 1 Fraud) in the Legal 500 UK 2022 and as a led junior, she is regularly instructed in complex and document-heavy criminal cases, through which she has developed a reputation for thorough case preparation, meticulous written arguments and mature tactical insight. She has recently been instructed as a led junior in a multi-handed conspiracy to murder, a three-month million-pound commercial fraud trial and a Class A county lines drugs conspiracy. She also has experience in serious cases that she has been instructed in alone, including representing one of seven defendants in a three month boiler room fraud trial and the first defendant in a complex money laundering case. She is currently instructed in two lengthy upcoming Trading Standards fraud cases involving multiple defendants, complex legal argument and cross examination of expert witnesses. Jack Gilliland

Jack Gilliland joined 2 Hare Court in March 2021 and has now accepted tenancy at the end of his 12-month Pupillage. He specialises in criminal defence and prosecution, appearing frequently in the Youth Court, Magistrates' Court, and Crown Court. In the field of professional discipline, he has successfully represented professionals appearing before major healthcare regulators. He is also a member of the Government Legal Department's ‘Junior Junior' scheme. Before coming to the Bar, Jack served for six years in the British Army when, following training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he was commissioned into the Intelligence Corps. A significant part of his work involved handling sensitive material both in the United Kingdom and overseas. He previously lived for a period in the United States, studying and working in financial services and public affairs.
