Charlie Marshall joined the Corban University Golf coaching staff in July of 2014 after many years of experience in athletics. He began serving as the head women's golf coach during the 2017-18 season and was announced as the head coach for both the men's and women's programs in April of 2020, being promoted to the title of Director of Golf. The Warriors women's golf program has finished in the Top 4 within the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament every season since Marshall took over as the program leader, having coached multiple All-Conference award winners and Academic All-Conference/District student-athletes through six seasons at the University. Prior to his time as a Warrior, Marshall served as the Sprague High School Boy's Golf Coach for seven years and was the football coach at Judson Middle School in the past. Over the years, he has also coached Little League Baseball, Soccer, and SKYBALL. Marshall graduated from the University of Oregon in 1976 with a degree in Recreation/Park Management. While at Oregon, he played football for the Ducks on an athletic scholarship. Following his studies at Oregon, he earned his teaching certificate from Portland State in 1978. Having now retired from the Salem-Keizer School District where he taught mathematics, he worked for 14 years with various wholesale lumber companies in Salem and Lake Oswego as well. Originally hailing from Vancouver, Wash., Marshall attended Hudson's Bay High School and was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. Marshall currently resides in Salem with his wife Nancy. They have three adult children living in Salem: Ryan (husband of Ali), Caitlin (wife of Beau St. Peter), and John. They also have two granddaughters to Ryan and Ali, Lucille Wilma (6) and Ruth Louise (3), and two granddaughters to Beau St. Peter and Caitlin named Charlotte Joy, and Hattie Hope. Marshall and his wife currently attend Salem Alliance Church.

David Patterson joined the Corban University Golf coaching staff in the Spring of 2016 after finishing a solid playing career at Corban from 2011-2015 and graduating with a B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance. One of the highlights of his career as a Warrior was dropping his stroke average over his final two seasons by 10 shots. Patterson currently reside in Keizer, Oregon with his wife Shelby. During his free time he enjoys playing basketball, watching Seattle Mariners games, spending time with friends, and working to improve his own golf game. Patterson and his wife currently attend Court Street Christian Church in Salem.

Jared Lambert joined the Warrior Men's Golf coaching staff in the fall of 2018. An alumni of Corban, Lambert graduated with a degree in Business Management in 2015. During his time at the school, Lambert competed at a high level for the Navy and Gold, winning three events as a Warrior, and earning three Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) All-Conference awards. In addition, he has claimed victories in six professional events, and is currently the course record holder at Eagle Crest Ridge Course. Lambert also serves as an Assistant Golf Professional at Meadow Lakes Golf Course. A resident of Redmond, Ore., Lambert enjoys golfing, fishing, and reading in his free time. He has four sisters (Rachelle, Raelyn, Ashlee, Hailey, and Felicia) and a brother Eddie.

Nathan Furumasu

Nathan Furumasu joined the Corban University Men's Golf coaching staff in the Fall of 2017. He graduated from Corban in 2009 with a B.S. in English and played golf all four years with the Warriors. During his tenure at Corban Furumasu was recognized as an outstanding student-athlete by the NAIA multiple times ('07,'08,'09). He also received the "Most Improved" and "Mighty Warrior: Champions of Character" awards while in attendance ('06 and '09). Furumasu has worked in every facet of the golf industry, from keeping greens and caddying to custom club fitting and instruction. Currently, Furumasu resides in Salem, Oregon with his wife Ebby and daughter Elliot. During his free time he enjoys going on hikes, spending time with friends, hand-making leather goods and even playing a little golf. The Furumasu's are members at Evergreen Presbyterian Church in Salem.

Paul Pickerell

Paul Pickerell became the Corban men's and women's head golf coach following the conclusion of the 2014 spring season after serving as an assistant coach during that campaign. Pickerell was assistant golf coach at West Salem High School from 2008-10 and has also coached high school basketball since 2001. He served as a varsity assistant coach at McNary and West Salem high schools before returning to McNary as the girls head coach from 2012-14. Because of his position as the Corban head golf coach, Pickerell will scale back his basketball coaching, though he will still be involved in the winter months coaching in the girls' program at Silverton High School. Pickerell has extensive experience evaluating golf talent at the high school level across the nation and has been on-site for the Callaway Junior World Championships in San Diego, the Big "I" Insurance Classic held at various sites across the U.S., and U.S. Girls' Amateur Championships. He currently works as the Deputy Director of the Office of Program Integrity for the Department of Human Services is Salem. He has two daughters: Ashlee, a sophomore on the Oregon State golf team; and Kaylee, who is a senior at West Salem High School and will be entering the United States Air Force on July 1.

Todd Bowers was named the Corban University director of golf in the summer of 2019, coming to Salem all the way from Indianapolis, Ind. As part of his overarching responsibilities, he will work directly with the men's team as the squad's head coach. "I am excited to announce Todd as the newest addition to our athletic coaching ranks," said Reed. "Todd was drawn to Corban because of the school's mission; not only does he look forward to developing student-athletes who can succeed on the course, but he also is passionate about mentoring followers of Christ. It is clear that Todd has a wealth of knowledge and a love for Christ that he is eager to share in his role at the helm of our men's golf team." Bowers brings experience from both the high school and collegiate ranks, recently serving as the head men's and women's golf coach at Seminole State College in Seminole, Okla. Prior to that, Bowers spent nearly four years coaching golf at Heritage Christian High School in Indianapolis. Speaking on the opportunity, Bowers said: "I was specifically interested in Corban because I wanted to coach in an institution and athletic department of like-minded people, pursuing God and working for the kingdom every day." His success as a captain on the course and his eagerness to disciple student-athletes make him an ideal fit to lead the nationally-recognized Corban golf programs to new heights.

Verne Hagenbeck

Verne Hagenbeck joined the Corban University Athletic Department in 2014 as a Golf Instructor for the Human Performance Golf Class. After seeing his enthusiasm for developing student-athletes, he was invited on as an Assistant Golf Coach for the men's and women's Golf Teams at Corban University. Hagenbeck has been closely connected to sports since high school, where he lettered in football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to play baseball and basketball at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has served as a coach for several basketball and baseball teams. Prior to his retirement, Hagenbeck served as youth pastor and lead pastor for 46 years. He brings extensive experience in motivating and inspiring people to develop their full potential. His goal for his involvement with the Corban University Golf Teams is to help the student-athletes become all they can be as golfers and as people. Along with his wife Lynnette, Verne is enjoying retired life in Salem, Oregon. He keeps a busy schedule, attending all his grandchildren's athletic events. He also plays a lot of golf and can be found at Creekside Golf Club on the course or practice area working on his game or helping his friends with their game.
