I am a parent of 3 children, 2 of which attend St Georges school, who are a mixture of adopted and birth children. Alongside being a mom, I have a degree level qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy (graduate certificate) and am almost finished undertaking a masters in the same subject. I also have over 10 years experience working in projects and financing within a utility company.
St Georges is the area I grew up in and I attended St Georges school with my siblings. The future of the school and the children who attend and the community as a whole are therefore something I feel passionate about. Wellbeing of children in school is something I feel is especially important and my future goal is to work in education using my counselling training as a useful tool.

I began teaching at St George's as a newly qualified teacher 30 years ago. I have taught many children over the years, and enjoyed every minute of it. Ten years ago, I was appointed Deputy Head Teacher and have continued in this role ever since. I live near Stafford with my partner, two dogs and a cat and I have two grown up children who I spend a lot of time with. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dogs, swimming and watching my local football team whenever I can.

My name is Kim Sohier. I am the staff governor here at St George's. This term of office, will be my third (although not consecutively)
I have worked at St George's since April 2001. Currently, I have responsibility for delivering French across the whole school, which is a role that I really enjoy.
In addition to this teaching commitment, I am also the lead first aider, which, with so many staff and children, keeps me equally busy.
Outside of school, I am married with 2 grown up sons and a dog called Charlie. I love to swim, cook and walk. In addition to my schoolwork, I am also employed by 2 private swimming schools to teach swimming, from 3+ to 70+, beginners to triathletes.

I have been in education for over twenty years including being a class teacher, a consultant for two local authorities and then in senior leadership at primary schools. St George's is my second headship and I was thrilled to join the team here in September 2019. I live with my husband, two children of my own (both now teenagers), and two dogs who all keep me very busy in my spare time. Over the last eight years, I have enjoyed working closely with schools in remote areas of Nepal. I have been lucky to travel there three times to work alongside Nepalese teachers in the Himalayas.

I have been teaching for twenty years. I started my career in Shawbury as an NQT and spent seven years there before moving on to St. George's. I secured a promotion at St. George's where I took on the role of Maths coordinator at Phase 2 and I taught across the key stage 2 age range. Since then I have led Phase 2 and I now oversee Phase 1 in my role as Assistant Head. In my personal life, I live with my husband and two children and we love to spend time together as a family.
