OUTER BANKS HEALTH

Outer Banks Health is a growing health system, providing a range of health and wellness services for our community. Designed especially to meet the health needs of our coastal community, whose year-round population of 35,000 swells to about 250,000 in the summer season, OBH has approval as a provider of Medicare and Medicaid programs, licensure by the Division of Facility Services, and accreditation by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, College of American Pathologists, and the American College of Radiology... When we formed the Outer Banks Health Development Council in 2005, cancer services across our region were fragmented - and we wanted to do something about it. Our solution? Establish a single location where families in our community could turn for cancer information and support.
