Ken Hoffman

Mr. Hoffman started his career with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, one of the largest integrated steel mills in the U.S. After relocating to Atlanta, he joined the upstart - Transtar Metals Aerospace, a private equity roll-up of five of the largest aero/defense metals companies in the country first by JP Morgan/Chase and later by HIG Capital. He has held numerous growth positions with Transtar, most recently as Division Vice President with responsibility for sales, operations, finance, and quality for the Western United States and Pacific Rim. This was the largest division in the rapidly growing company. In this key role, Mr. Hoffman drove revenues from $40 million to more than $100 million in three years during the troubled post-9/11 aerospace market. He carried $100 million-plus profit-and-loss responsibility with over 200 direct and indirect reports. He led implementation and oversight of the quality system to ISO 9001/AS9100 standards. Upon divestiture of Transtar by HIG Capital, he accepted a position as Vice President, reporting to the CEO of AM Castle, a $5-Billion metals distributor. There he led integration efforts of Transtar Metals Aerospace into the AM Castle platform via a successful $50-million-plus Oracle system development/implementation project. During his career, he has negotiated and managed numerous multiyear, multimillion-dollar contracts. As such his ties run deep with executives at many of the largest Tier 1 primes in the U.S. and abroad. Contracts managed include: Aluminum armor on the BAE Bradley ($25MM+) Aluminum extrusions for the Boeing C-17 ($15MM+) Aluminum extrusions for the Lockheed Martin C-130 ($10MM+) Aluminum plate for the F-35 Lightning/Joint Strike Fighter for Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, & BAE Systems ($40MM+) Aluminum plate for the AIRBUS A380 ($30MM+) Mr. Hoffman attended West Virginia University and Wheeling Jesuit University, earning a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Managerial Accounting/Finance in 1992, and his Master's in Business Administration in 1997 both with honors.

Nancy Piper

Originally from the New York/New Jersey metro area, Ms. Piper is a long-time California resident currently living in Oceanside. She was the new Linmarr Associates' second hire upon relocation of the business from Las Vegas to Irvine, CA, in 2011. Her hiring was an easy decision based upon her prior experience in Government contract administration, quality, and packaging administration in her 20+ years with an aerospace machine shop/fabricator. Since hired, she has gained managerial experience in nearly every operational department within our company, including crucial roles in: Contract Management Quality Inspection Operations Government Documentation Purchasing Accounting/Finance Prior to her involvement with Linmarr Associates and the aerospace machine shop, Ms. Piper's prior positions include: Corrosion Engineer, Cosasco Division of Grant Oil Tool Company (8 years) Parts Distribution Supervisor, Isuzu Motors (7 years) She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Monmouth College, and certifications in hazardous material shipping and corrosion engineering. Ms. Piper volunteers in the environmental ministry at Mission San Luis Rey in her native Oceanside.

Ray Shepeard - Treasurer, VP

A California native, Mr. Shepeard is Linmarr Associates' most recent management addition brought aboard with the aim of taking the company to the next level. He is a firm believer in our SYSTEMS, PEOPLE, and PROCESS approach to growth. Formerly, he worked as Director of Plant Operations and quality at Transtar Metals Aerospace as the company grew from $40 million to more than $100 million in 3 years.. He held responsibility for a $24 million annual operating budget with 130 direct and indirect reports. In addition, he played a critical role in the development and implementation of ISO 9001:2008/AS9100. He led numerous Lean Manufacturing and KAIZEN events with Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Goodrich, and others. Throughout his 30-plus-year career, Mr. Shepeard has held positions of increasing responsibility, such as: Warehouse Supervisor Warehouse Manager Operations Manager Director of Operations Most recently, he served as the Regional Director of Operations-West for AM Castle, a $5-Billion metals distribution center. Mr. Shepeard has received formal training in Total Quality Management, Toyota Production System, and Goodrich Lean Manufacturing Programs. He has completed leadership development and is well versed in all areas of manufacturing safety and medical first response. In addition, Mr. Shepeard serves as board treasurer and secretary of his neighborhood homeowners association.

Sharon Hoffman - CEO

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, and raised in Wheeling, WV, Mrs. Hoffman leads Linmarr Associates with a strong Midwestern work ethic. She started her medical career in 1992 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. She relocated to Atlanta in 1995 where she worked 10+ years at St Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta in Critical Cardiac Care. All told, Mrs. Hoffman spent more than 14 years providing patient care in the Critical Cardiac medical field. Participating in meetings and symposiums alongside her husband for more than 15 years led to her interest in aerospace/defense market. Since completing the acquisition in 2010 and the subsequent relocation of the business from Las Vegas to Orange County in 2011, Mrs. Hoffman has been critical in providing both vision and a tactical plan that has led to the success of our company. Mrs. Hoffman holds a Bachelor's Degree with Cum Laude Honors from Ohio University, as well as numerous other certifications and credentials. She has a keen eye for removing cost from the supply chain, using a no-nonsense approach from her days in the cardiac medical field. Under her guidance, oversight, and leadership, Linmarr Associates has become one of the fastest-growing, female-owned contractors in the U.S. She and her husband Ken reside in Orange County, CA, along with their two daughters Victoria and Lauren. Mrs. Hoffman volunteers at Serra Catholic School and Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
