Chin-Yun Lin

Dr. Lin is a specialist dermatologist and accredited Mohs micrographic surgeon trained across New Zealand and Australia. His specialty interests include skin cancers, melanomas, dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, pigmentary disorders, laser and cosmetic dermatology. His clinical responsibilities also include consultations at Ormiston Hospital in Howick. After graduating as the Dux from Macleans College in Auckland, he went on to complete his undergraduate medical degree with First-class Honours at the University of New South Wales in Australia. He undertook his dermatology advanced training at tertiary teaching hospitals in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch. Further dermatology and Mohs surgical Fellowships were undertaken at St Vincent's Hospital and the Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia in Sydney. Dr. Lin has won various dermatology awards such as the Trans-Tasman Scholarship for the best registrar presentation at the New Zealand Dermatological Society Annual Conference, and the best poster presentation at the Australasian College of Dermatologists Annual Scientific Meeting. Dr Lin also takes interest in clinical teaching and research. He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences such as the World Congress of Dermoscopy.

Dr Lulu van Eeden

Dr Lulu van Eeden is a NZ trained doctor who received her medical degree at Otago University in 2010. Her interest in gynaecology was developed early and she was the recipient of the Sir Bernard Dawson award for being the top medical graduate in obstetrics and gynaecology in the Dunedin Clinical School of Medicine, as well as the Batchelor Memorial Medal and Prize for being the top graduate in obstetrics and gynaecology at Otago University in 2010.

Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) Katherine

Katherine Sowden is a highly respected professional in her field and currently leads the gynaecology services for Counties Manukau Health. Katherine has been a Consultant Gynaecologist at Counties Manukau Health since 2004 and was appointed Clinical Lead for Gynaecology in 2014. She is also currently the departmental lead for non-tertiary gynaecological oncology where she is particularly interested in the management of premalignant gynaecological conditions. A fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) Katherine is a thought leader within her specialty. Katherine also enjoys the practical teaching of specialist RANZGOG trainees and is involved in oversight of guideline development and implementation. Katherine provides a wide range of general gynaecology services including colposcopy, vulvoscopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and open gynaecological surgery. Her skills and experience mean patients have access to the country's leading expert working out of Ormiston Specialist Centre.

Kamran Zagar

Kamran is an Urologist and a Genitourinary Oncologist, with fellowship training in management of urological malignancies and robotic surgery. Kamran has further experience in treating renal stones and voiding dysfunction including Laser surgery and HOLEP. He graduated from Otago Medical School and completed urological training in New Zealand, before spending a year of fellowship in Australia. He has also completed an MD (Thesis) in Auckland in 2010. Following this he spent two additional years of fellowship training in Moffitt Cancer Centre, Tampa, Florida, which is ranked amongst the best cancer hospitals in the United States. Kamran is also actively involved in research and teaching and has an appointment as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Auckland. He has also completed a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Auckland, and has undertaken fulltime research in the United States, working with prominent academics in the field of urologic cancers. He has published over 70 peer reviewed original articles, review papers, invited commentaries and book chapters, and is an editorial board member and reviewer for a number of urological journals.

Stephanie Ulmer

Surgeon Stephanie Ulmer is an expert in bariatric (weight loss) surgery as well as breast and general surgery. She has spent a lot of her career dedicated to weight loss surgery and the outcomes that can be achieved for her patients. Stephanie completed her surgical training in 2006, where she gained specialist expertise in Australia utilising many different forms of laparoscopic weight loss surgery. Upon returning to New Zealand after her training she worked as a consultant and started up BetterLife Surgery. Since starting BetterLife Surgery, Stephanie has completed over 300 Bariatric procedures. Stephanie takes immense satisfaction from the life-changing experience that surgery brings to her patients.
