ELYSSA NAVAL

Hi! I am Elyssa. My nickname is EJ. I was born and raised in the Philippines. In the year 2006, my family and I moved to Tucson, Arizona. I am currently a senior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science at the University of Arizona. Before I became a CS major, I had no idea what programming or coding were all about. In my sophomore year, I decided to try and take introductory programming courses in Java, Python, and Web. Programming is hard, frustrating, and time-consuming! But once your code compiles and you see the outcome of your hard work, it is very rewarding, exciting, and I love it! With all the fascinating tools in Computer Science and a creative imagination, the number of great things that can be created and built are limitless. This was how I realized my passion and that I would like to become a web and software developer one day. My other interests are singing, playing a little bit of piano and guitar, photography, and photo/video editing.
