JOACHIM KIM, Technical Consultant to PANGAEA, is a leader in the software development industry. As the General Manager of Digital Connection R, which he founded in 1982, Joachim demonstrates his progressive business applications through his work with clients such as Prodigy Services Company, IBM/IBM Research, Montage Picture Processor, Office of the Future, NASA, The Travelers Insurance Company, Avis, CBS Software and others. Before founding Digital Connection, Joachim was Technical Director at Children's Television Workshop; as Senior Game Designer, he created award-winning educational games for Sesame Street. Because of his proven visionary capabilities, Joachim is well qualified to help us develop the most forward-reaching technology possible -- that will evolve with the changes already underway. Joachim is a graduate of Columbia University, 1981 and has lectured at Bank Street College of Education.
Further, Joachim grew up in New York, after moving to the US from S. Korea at the age of 9. He brings to PANGAEA a unique perspective on Americans and other cultures. He enjoys tennis and gardening, and is a serious baseball fan, both at and away from the computer.
