Christian Manders

Christian Manders is the Chief Operating Officer of Promethean LifeSciences, Inc. Mr. Manders grew up in Hershey, PA and attended Yale University, where he majored in history with a minor in nepotism (one of Yale's best majors). Upon graduation, he moved to Pittsburgh to join his family with the hopes of commercializing his father's intellectual property. Promethean LifeSciences is the result. At Promethean, Mr. Manders is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company. He has successfully gained FDA approval for their products, GammaGraft and Repriza, human skin allograft products for the treatment of wounds and reconstructive procedures. Promethean is currently marketing GammaGraft and Repriza in the US. Promethean is commercializing a variety of surgical products in a range of medical specialties. He has served on the Board of Governors of the American Association of Tissue Banks, serves on the Board of Life Sciences Pennsylvania (www.lifesciencespa.org), the second biggest state-wide industry group for the life sciences in the United States, founded and runs the Pittsburgh Biomedical Breakfasts (www.biobreakfast.com), and is active in the life sciences community in Pittsburgh. Outside of work, Mr. Manders has an interest in curing meats, making wine, city planning and economic development, and Pittsburgh sports. He is the Consigliere of the Pittsburgh St. Anthony Festival and an avid supporter of the Lincoln Saints youth football team.

Dr. Ernest K. Manders

Dr. Ernest K. Manders is one of the leading scientific and surgical minds in modern plastic surgery. Dr. Manders pioneered a number of designs for soft tissue expanders, including the croissant expander design for closing a circular defect with the smallest scar, soft tissue expanders for treating male pattern baldness and hair loss, and the differential breast expander.
