During 1588-1801, there were a series of celestial atlases published and in 1588, a star's atlas named Theatrum Mundi﹐et Temporis was published by Giovanni Paolo Gallucci (1538-1621) who was interested in studying the scientific artistic representation of the starry sky. This atlas is even treated as the first modern celestial atlas and had countersigned the golden era of Gallucci. Later on, this atlas was preserved in the Library of Dipartimento di Astronomic di Bologna.
