Mr. Choi is a regionally recognized and experienced U.S. corporate lawyer with a strong emphasis in the foreign investment sector in Vietnam and throughout ASEAN region. Since 2009, he has been successfully assisting a vast number of foreign investors on their investments in Vietnam across a wide variety of sectors from establishment of 100% foreign owned enterprises(FOEs) to complex M&A transactions and international dispute resolution matters. Mr. Choi brings extensive practical knowledge of the Law on Investments of Vietnam to foreign investment projects that encompass a wide range of market sectors. His experience on investments for all types of projects includes guidance on issues ranging from investment structures to intellectual property issues. Mr. Choi is acknowledged as a leading lawyer in foreign direct investment in Vietnam and he is also regularly invited by various government sponsored and regional business seminars to give lectures and presentations on foreign investment in Vietnam. Mr. Choi is recognized by the business communities to have an excellent practical knowledge of corporate, commercial and investment law in the region. Having provided legal expertise on numerous high-profile foreign investment projects in Asia, primarily representing MNCs and conglomerates wanting to have their business presence in the region, he is well known for his ‘fast, pragmatic and client-oriented' legal service. Mr. Choi is admitted to the Washington D.C. bar and Connecticut state bar in the United States and is a registered foreign lawyer certified by the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam. Mr. Choi is an active member of the American Bar Association(ABA) and International Bar Association(IBA). Mr. Choi is also serving as the Legal Advisor to the Korean American Chamber of Commerce, USA, the largest Korean American business association in the United States. He commenced his legal practice with one of the most recognized business law firms in Seoul where he was subsequently appointed as the Head of Hanoi office in Vietnam. Mr. Choi was later recruited by Duane Morris, one of the America's biggest law firms headquartered in Philadelphia and served as the Special Counsel heading one of the regional practice groups at Duane Morris(Vietnam) prior to founding ALF.
