Elaine comes from a background in the Shipping & Maritime industry. She has worked for a Scottish Ferry Company for over 4 years undertaking a variety of roles from Customer Specialist in the Contact Centre to Crew Resources Officer in the Crewing Department and also as a Training Coordinator in the Learning and Development Department. Elaine also took 1.5 years out to travel and work in Australia where she worked in the Crewing Department of a Global Shipping company.
Elaine joined the Red team in June 2022 as our Shipping & Maritime Recruitment Consultant.

Karen graduated from Glasgow University with an Honours degree in Law (LLB) then completed a Postgraduate diploma in Russian Language before joining Goldman Sachs in London. From entry level analyst to Vice President in Prime Brokerage Operations, with periods in Frankfurt, New York and Bangalore, Karen has gained vast experience in Investment Banking and a thorough understanding of the technical side of the industry.

Leigh comes from a background in shipping, having worked onboard the famous Cunard Line vessels for over 5 years, moving around various roles within the hotel department working her way up to 2.5 stripe officer status. Moving from ship to shore Leigh then started working for a Glasgow based ship management company managing recruitment and training for Merchant Navy trainee officers for a further 4 years. Leigh then moved into a sales role working with a specialist provider of training and consultancy services to the global maritime, oil and gas, renewables and construction sectors.
Leigh joined the Red team in January 2019 as our Shipping & Maritime Recruitment Consultant
Matthew graduated from Warwick University Business School with an Honours degree in Business Studies and German before joining Goldman Sachs in London. Matthew began his career within Operations, working with Institutional clients before moving into the Investment Banking division on the EMEA Equity Syndicate desk, reaching Executive Director responsible for the marketing, execution and pricing of significant financing and capital raising transactions for the corporate client base. This role involved building relationships with senior leaders of global issuing firms and buy-side investment managers (Pension Funds, Insurance Funds and Hedge Funds) and provided a full technical understanding of the front-to-back product lifecycle within a top-tier financial institution. More recently Matthew has held senior VP roles at Barclays Investment Bank and Morgan Stanley.

Passionate about building and maintaining strong customer relationships, Paula is committed to driving sustainable growth and long-term success. Coming from a customer facing background Paula has played a key role within the maritime industry for the last 8 years. Having worked her way up to Head of Business Development, working with a specialist maritime training & consultancy company, for the global maritime, oil & gas and renewables sector, she brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge. Her passion for the maritime sector and her expertise enables her to drive revenue, expand market presence, and strengthen client relationships.
Joining the team in September 2023, Paula is now our dedicated and results-driven Business Development Manager.
Stacey has been in recruitment for over 10 years previously specialising in volume recruitment for call centre and industrial roles. She joined Red in November 2015 and, as lynchpin of the business, deals with our HR, Finance, Recruitment and Account Management.
