Dr. Judith Abdel-Massih-Thiemann has a master degree in educational sciences and a doctorate in cultural anthropology. From 2004-2013 she worked with the German Development Service (DED) and the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Sudan/South Sudan, Jordan and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Since end of 2013 she has been working as a freelance consultant for organisational and project development in Germany and abroad and as an election observer. She has extensive regional experience in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa and in the areas of civil society, democracy promotion, migration and integration, root causes of flight, education and employment promotion. Her work focus on project management, project planning, monitoring and evaluation, and includes consultancies as well as training, coaching and supervision. With more than 15 years of professional experience, she has developed a deep understanding of development cooperation and peacebuilding including the SDGs/agenda 2030, and is very familiar with conflict-sensitive approaches, do no harm, Leave no one behind (LNOB) and the consideration of other cross-cutting issues and safeguards such as gender, conflict, environment protection and human rights . Since 2019, she has been including equestrian supported approaches (training, coaching, therapy) in her portfolio.
