FIRST FEDERAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

The First Federal Charitable Foundation was established to support worthwhile community causes and its mission remains clear, as it strives to nurture non-profit institutions and programs that will effectively serve those in need from our community, empower non-profit institutions and programs that will expand their presence in and services to those of our community, and promote opportunities for new non-profit institutions and programs that will serve the unserved of our community... That meant that 5% of the proceeds gained from the initial sale - the equivalent of five million dollars - was set aside to establish this new, community-minded organization and, thus, The First Federal Charitable Foundation was born. Since its inceptive, we have provided nearly $5 million to more than 250 nonprofit organizations throughout Luzerne, Schuylkill, Carbon and Columbia Counties.
